When playing games such as Halo, what type of person are you when playing multiplayer?

I fill whatever roles are necessary, it just depends what everyone else is doing and what isn't working for the team.

Obviously not going to be a sniper if being a sniper doesn't work for what we're doing, and not going to go silent if my current tactic doesn't suit the use of a knife.(Can't bring a knife to a gunfight, rings true)

Tactics change easily, so I really never stick with a single way to go about it.

Earlier on CS I was doing the best in the game and I had only used a knife the entire game....on Militia too. I always liked being a stealthy person.

Though on Halo I'm really more of a Driver then anything.

I like the shotgun just because on the fact of its my best weapon simply because a month ago was the last it took me more then 1 shot to kill someone. the only problem is the dumb people on live that take the sniper and the shotgun.

I pretty much go with the most effective tactic available to me at the time, though, I find myself using stealth more than anything.

See them pick up a nice wep? Just sit down in a dark corner wait for them to come by and WHACK! More goodies for me...

If stealth doesn't work, I usually have some type of ranged weapon to help me out, like in Halo2, the Battle Rifle or Magnum.

I really hate sniping... People expect you to be perfect with the Sniper Rifle whenever you pick that baby up, but I never practice with it 'cause just sitting back in the corner and sniping is just too boring for me.

Shotgun in any game. Ive got a rep in CSS at the minute for using the 'farmer' shotgun and yelling "Gerrof my land!" at anyone I kill.

i use whatever i got, be it a knife, a shotty, a sniper, a handgun, etc

because if you only use X weapon, then you will always lose to Y tactic. be versatile and capable with everything and you win everytime =D

Bah! I'm split! I'd call myself a power weapon/machinest dude. I use whatever gets the job done. And i find shotguns and machine gun based weapons suit my play style! I try to use a weapon as the situation dictates.

I avoid sniper rifles because, i simply do not have the patience to wait to line up that perfect head shot. And i ain't no god damn camper!

stealth is out the window too. I'd rather barrel into a room with a fully loaded shotgun (or flak cannon. ooo baby), ready to cause a world of hurt. That and the fact im not great at trying to sneak up on people.

I'd say my role in multiplayer is simply to cause chaos. I don't defend or attack bases, unless they dudes taking care of that need backup.. I run about the map killing the enemies as i go. Trying to cause as much trouble to enemy as i can, hopefully drawing attention away from the dudes tryng to snab the flag http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif.

i agree with ya 100%, woot! yeah, i especially love games where you can move when ur snipering, then you can be changing spots, or running behind someone, and *gun shot* they never know where they were hit from, because you arent there anymore, pistols with scopes on them are just as good

I'm more of a vehicular manslaughterer with a spattering of 'A little bit of everything else' thrown in.

In most games, I'm the one with the car, running over people... in Halo 2, I either am the one in the car, or the one either A: Defending with a close range wep, or B: just doing whatever.

I dont care what people's opinions of it are, but I love sniping, whether its Halo 2, UT, or any other game. Sniping gets you frags (admittedly not as quick as gung-ho tactics), but generally keeps you out of trouble, unless you're stupid and stand in the middle of the arena http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif Ghost Recon 2 is a great game to snipe on, lol, since you can lay down in grass, hehehe. Only FPS I do is DoD, so we'll go with that!
I'm primarily an offensive (:p) player, running around capping flags, so I rarely camp or snipe (though no-scoping madly can be fun but difficult for someone unused to playing without crosshairs http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif). My weapons of choice are the Browning Automatic Rifle for Allies and MP44 Assault Rifle for Axis, both of which are automatic and best at short to mid range. *votes Machinist*

I'm kinda these three depending on what weapon I have. I tend to try to kill people whenever possible and generally like the power that comes from the sword. And whether it is a sniper rifle or just something with a scope, I love to attack people and watch them freak out and try to find where I am shooting from.

My own: Vehicular Killer (Uses vehicles)

On Halo 2, I am very hard to beat when inside a Wraith. I've survives all vehicle attacks (aside from human tanks, which I only fought once), rockets, highjackers, and being ganged upon, some times all in one game.

A yes and i almost forgot the vehicular activity in halo 2! admittely i am pretty shitty when it comes to using the tank. That said im pretty handy with the new improved ghost. once raked up 35 kills using one of those things before someone finally plugged me in a system link game. Though im not great with the banshee. but i remember i spent the guts of 3 minutes once barrel rolling in one to distract a tank dude (the helpless bastard couldn't land a shot despite the fact i kept moving in the same pattern) while a team mate snuck up and hijacked the tank http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif
