Striker of Chao

I know about what the guide says about obtaining the Striker of Chao, but I also heard of another way to get it. After searching the forums I found a thread that explained an easier way to do it.

1.Start TTF (Towards The Future)
2.Go down to F1 (Forest 1) with Branch of Paku Paku equipped
3.Return to Pioneer 2 and go through the warp in the Hospital.
4.Walk behind the Waterfall... and thats all i got.

Here's where my problem is, I went through the warp & walked behind the waterfall. Text appeared that said "...something feels strange" or something to that effect. But there was nothing else after that. What's supposed to happen next?

You are supposed to wait underneath the water. After waiting there for a minute or so, text will start to appearl. Just keep standing there and wait for the Chao to make its appearance. After you get your Striker of Chao, leave that location or your item will revert back.

The Chao you talk to also makes a comment if you have a Chao Mag equipped http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif Well, I thought it was cool..
