I was kind of worried about making an introduction post, because it seemed kind of arrogant or like you're looking for attention, but lucky me, there's a forum for it!

Anyways, I've been into PSO for a long time. I played the original on DC, but then it broke. I bought it for Gamecube awhile ago, but didn't really play for too long. In the last couple of months, though, I've been completely crazy about it. I also finally got online with it at the beginning of february, so that's something really new and fun for me.

This place has been invaluable in finding information and helping me figure things out. You've got a great site here, and it's nice to see a friendly, well informed community like this.

I generally don't join forums, as I've seen the kinds of flaming and stuff that goes on, but this one seemed really nice, and I decided to waver my no forums rule. I hope you'll all be gentle with me. XD

I have quite a few characters, but that's only because I don't have any friends online except my sister right now, and I need section IDs for finding things. :D It's going to take forever to bring them all up to Ultimate mode, though.

So um, yeah. Sorry for the ramble, thanks for having me, and I hope to make friends and be an asset here. (whenever I'm not busy with school >_<)

Welcome.

Make sure to read the Forum Rules (http://www.pso-world.com/faq.php?myfaq=yes&id_cat=9&categories=Forum). The stickies in each Forum are normally important, so read them before making a thread (especially mine (http://www.pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?topic=69992&forum=7&10) if you intend to post in Mag/Quest/Item/Section ID (http://www.pso-world.com/viewforum.php?forum=7&94912)).

If you want to keep your sanity, stay away from Fresh Kills Landfill http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif. If you don't mind losing it, or already have, you may have a great time in there. You will never leave. *Cues the Eagles' Hotel California*.

And http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_ketchup.gif is best served room temperature.

Thanks, Ketchup!

I'll be sure to check all the stickies out. I already read them in your forum anyway. ^_^

Hmm, and you also might want to avoid the cheaters section too. Or make sure you have a good Resist/Flamers equipped.... http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Well, anyway, welcome aboard PSOW. I'm not much more than a newb myself, but I extend the welcome nonetheless. I think I missed the window for a welcome thread anyway. >.>

Oh, and I truly hope you know all about FSODs and such? Just in case, check this thread out...http://www.pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?topic=94222&forum=4&11

Enjoy your stay. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

To tell you the truth, I went and looked around the cheaters forum.. I really had no clue things were so bad. Since I started going online, I've never run into a problem (now I've jinxed myself, of course). I had no idea any of that was going on.

A week or two into my first free month, some guy named Drew came up in the lobby I frequent and asked me if I was legit. I had no idea what he meant. I feel kind of silly about it now, but I didn't really know that being legit and hacked was such a big thing. Of course I'm legit, but I just.. didn't realise what was going on. I'm actually kind of scared to turn my game on anymore now that I could lose my extra weapons and stuff. I love my Flowen's Sword. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif Only one I ever found too (unlike the bajillion Gae Bolgs, Vjayas, etc). I'd hate to lose my favorite things to someone's random stupidity. That would ruin the whole thing. PSO doesn't sound very friendly anymore.

Except for you guys.

Hah, well, the only thing I can recommend to you is to NEVER carry around more than one weapon...deposit everything you don't want lost in your bank before you go online and before you go back into the lobby. As long as it's equipped, you won't lose it, should you FSOD. If you play in a password protected game it shouldn't matter if you bring more than one weapon with you, as others can't get to you.

Another piece of advice is to stay away from the most crowded lobby, because thats where the people who FSOD others usually hang out. I had a problem last night where some guy camped out in the lobby for like two hours and would freeze anyone who tried to come into Deneb 9-1. I mean, getting, FSOD-ed in the lobby is harmless except you might lose your unequipped items just like always, so I can deal with it. However, some losers just sit in a game, and wait for people to join...then get 'em with an FSOD during saving, which causes them to corrupt their save data. if I were you I'd try and be really careful with joining games of people you don't know or recognize and try and stay on the less crowded lobbies and blocks.

The thing is, the's another problem. This way you wouldn't meet any NICE people, if any people at all. So, I'd recommend you join one of the clans on PSOW...I'm a member of Ring Rebellion myself and I'm sure they'd enjoy having you as well. Go to this thread for details: http://www.pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?topic=92065&forum=8&80

I don't mean to be saying all this to make you not want to play PSO anymore. Some of the times I've had online have been the most fun I've ever had with a video game EVER. So, despite all these problems with the game, there's more fun things to do than there are bad things, so please enjoy yourself. I'll be sure to keep an eye out for your characters and perhaps we can play a game sometime. If you want maybe a few of us can work out a meeting time and place for a game tonight. I'll be sure to introduce you to some of my friends online if I get the chance. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

Oh, one last piece of advice...if you don't have one, get a keyboard adapter for PSO, it makes chatting in game unfathomably easier: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-23-15-keyboard%2B2_in_1-70-29s.html

Anyway, welcome to the O part in PSO. Contrary to what it might seem like, it's hella fun. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

Yes welcome to our little PSO World, If you ever see me online, ask me for a spare Flowens sword. I have a few collected from doing runs in the Forest in ultimate mode and could give you a second one if you ever lose yours. "Yes a 100% ligit". I am a Humar named Daniel always dressed in Black with spikey hair.

Welcome to PSOW, and have fun, just avoid asking things that are the blindly obvious to all others exept you, like asking the place to find a Dragon's Claw (no comment people). But anyway, have fun and dont get fsoded, and if you do, pray you dont have any rares that werent equipped...

Yes, HUcastShinobi is right keep unequipted rares in a back till you play a locked game, use them and bank again before returning to the lobby. I forgot once last week and ... i will say no more

Thanks, guys. I'd love to play with some of you sometime. And I usually stick to the less crowded blocks anyway. My usual hangout is almost always empty.

Yes, I have a keyboard, but it can be a little weird at times and even when I type properly, it adds extra letters and spaces, so I have to constantly go back and fix things. And oh my god, why is the apostraphe up on shift+7?! That is so annoying. ;P

Anyway, I really appreciate the welcome. I was actually really nervous about joining here. You've all been really friendly, and I'm glad I came. I got an invite for the Ring Rebellion, but I'm not sure if I should just join the first team immediately. I'll keep it in mind for sure, though. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif I'm usually on Deneb, if anyone's looking for me. If you want the block, just PM me or something.

Kitty is the one I'm always online with, unless I'm trying to level one of my other people with my sister. She has red hair, and the tight blue outfit with the sleeves. .. Not that scary one.

Oh, and I'm almost always playing in the evenings, just not necessarily online. I don't generally go on unless I'm looking to do a quest or to meet someone I'm expecting. Seems safer that way, now that I think about it. So, if I knew I have a reason to go on, I will. I don't have a router, so I have to unplug the computer's internet when I do. Bleh.
