It's so awesome. It looks like it borrows a LOT from the LOTOR movies though - the epic giant battles against armies of darkness, and riding the boar/pig thing. This is a good thing, I think! ^_^

My life has been validated.

It's been said that they want to top Ocarina of Time with this game, and I'm excited that they might actually do it.

I'm scared, but in a good way.

Wow, it looks like they put a lot of work into this one. The graphics look really clear and detailed. I really want to get this! Has there been a confirmed release date yet?

this game looks GREAT! I loved the Ocarina of Time so I hope this Zelda game can top this one.I'm also happy to be able to play as Link in his adult form instead of young link.http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I pre-ordered it from EBgames. The release date they gave me was June first. However...

I've heard that it's later in the year. =/

Err... pretty sure it comes out this holiday. As in around or just before Christmas 2005.

Possibly. I was just going with what was said at EBgames once I pre-ordered it. http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/243453.asp

Edit* You're right Outrider.

I just checked some other sites and they changed the release date.

w00t. I cannot wait to get this game when it come out. It looks amazing, the graphics look like some of the best the Gamecube has yet to see. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Btw, did anyone notice the 'bomb-arrow' in the trailer? Been awhile since we've seen that in a Zelda game. (Unless it was in M-Cap one. I haven't played it yet.)

I thought Majora's Mask topped Ocarina of Time, but that's just me, and I know few people would agree to that >_>

Bomb arrows? Always so much fun! http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif (Then again, I only know they were in Link's Awakening, were they in a Link to the Past?)

And if it comes out during the holiday season, I can ask for it for my birthday! http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif (And then, I'll make sure I be the one to beat it first http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif )

Majora's Mask was really awesome. Great graphics, great soundtrack, great story...it was just too short. If it had been as long as OoT, it would probably have been the better game. But, it's still one of the best, IMO. And one of my favorite games. n.n

Majora's Mask was quite good, but it was too much of its own story to be as good as Ocarina of Time. Ocarina was epic, and yet also very good on a smaller scale when just considering Link's story. MM was epic as well, but everything was about Termina, and not about Link. And while I did like the new types of gameplay, they didn't all quite fit in, even though they were refreshing and quite fun.

Plus, I just liked Hyrule a lot more than Termina. For me, the Zelda games have always drawn me into their world very well, so how much I like the areas matters quite a bit to me.

Then again, that is probably why I liked Majora's Mask more than OoT. The gameplay stuff.

But Hyrule was bigger, and the story was better.

I still like Majora's Mask better, but I see where you're coming from.

My only complaint is that the fighting looks to similar to WW.

Not the engine that bothers me--but if I'm going to be playing adult link once and for all I'd prefer if bright colorful shapes wouldn't shoot out of my enemy when I attack him.

Meh.

Mr shiguru Miyamoto always knows what the gamers want. His expertise is almost unsurpassable. I can't wait till this game comes out. I want to be a developer as good as him.

Until they can put you in a room and surround you with the game's environment, I don't see how they can surpass what we're seeing here, graphically. They seem to be really making an attempt to push the GameCube to its limits, this time. Windwaker's environment was enough to disincline me from buying it. This time, however, I will not be neglecting to acquire the game.

See, I agree that the graphics look absolutely amazing, but that only makes me notice some mistakes even more.

I love the graphics, don't get me wrong. I just hope they fix that clipping issue with his hat passing through his shield and a bit of the jagginess. Then nobody will be able to complain!

...I get the feeling I should laugh maniacally at the moment.

But I agree with AUTO that I'd like to see the fighting system updated a bit. It works fine, but I just feel that the addition of new combos (instead of just adding one or two like in Wind Waker) would be nice. I'll be fine if they don't change it that much, though.

Notify me when you can turn into a Deku again and I'll consider getting this.=|

Though the graphics ARE amazing, I really hope the fighting isn't like it was in Windwaker. The swordplay in the game was horrendous.

This may be a bit off topic, but I don't really want to make another Zelda thread.

What exactly is everyone looking forward/hoping is in the game?

The same gorgeous, magical and enticing world that they've presented in each game in the series.

Plus, I'd like it if they added in a good story this time around. Ocarina of Time's was good, but we can't repeat it. Majora's Mask was good, but unrelated to Hyrule. Wind Waker's was good (and depressing!), but it's over with and shouldn't really be continued.

I don't think I can really say enough how excited I am for this game.

Frankly, I liked the fighting engine in WW, but the enemies were just stupid and fell over whenever you hit them. So, keep fighting engine, make enemies less... flipsy. XD

Grey, how would they encorporate the transforming masks into this one? T_T;;;

Although, I thought the msot fun stuff of Majora's Mask was fighting as the Deku, and findign out how you cold use them to beat people. Deku Link was so much fun... (I learned how to beat Majora's Incarnation/Wrath with Deku Link >_>;;; )

I hear that.

I'd like to see the return of the parry-attack in WW. It might be just me, just I thought it really added to the intensity of the battle. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

Or maybe a few WW features: picking up enemy weapon, peering around corners, facial expressions. etc. etc. I really just loved those.

Although highly unlikely, maybe see Link use his Shield to smack an enemy around. >.>

Parry attack was pretty sweet. I almost wish it was less like an instant hit and more like a Guard Impact in Soul Calibur. I dunno, though. I don't want the fighting to be too intense. Maybe just give us more options. That would be cool.

As for the other WW features:

-I think being able to pick up enemy weapons would be fun again. Again, though - maybe more options? It seemed like every weapons worked the same, and there were only a few. However, I still wouldn't like to make it the main focus of combat. I still want Link's sword to be the main way of defeating enemies. So maybe they should keep it the way it was in Wind Waker.

-Don't see why they wouldn't have peering around corners.

-And they are definitely going to keep the facial expressions. Heck, even Ocarina of Time had them. It's a great feature and it helps with tell the story with this silent main character.

Oh, and I know it won't happen, but I'd sorta like it if there was speech in this game. NOT FOR LINK. Just for other characters. Maybe only in cinemas. I dunno.

I'd like that too.

Oh ya, and maybe like on those bridges in WW, where you cut the ropes and it falls. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif I'd like to see those again.

Wazzy and I already discussed the story of this game. It's obviously just going to be The Lord of the Rings played out by Zelda characters. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Link has to throw the Triforce into the fires of Death Mountain so the evil Ganondorf can't retrieve it. Link will be followed by Tingle, a disgusting creature that once had control of the Triforce and will do anything to get back its "precious."

Trust me, it'll be sweet.
