I just joined this site today, but it looks like i'm gonna have to retire from pso. My disk got scratched, so now my dreamcast can't read the disk. Only a couple people knew me w/ my character Dark Dragoon. I guess i'll have to buy another pso disk for 15 dollars (sigh).

Yeah, did you try the fill in the sratch with tooth paste method? I know it sounds crazy, but it may just work. If your dreamcast can't read the disc anyways, whats there to lose.

Yeah it's been posted in this forum before. I forgot all the details, but this is generally what you do. You rub, non flouride toothpaste on to the scratch. After you rub it on, just smoothen it out, and your done.

Use windex and a paper towel to clean off the bottom of it.

Speak not this madness! Don't leave! My disc got scratched and I though all was lost. Alas for the weeks It was put away when I could of been playing! I could never get to the Sil dragon because it froze in the teleporter. A friend of mine got a game doctor and he tried it on my disc. It worked! and now, 25 levels later, Davion lives again!

Get a game doctor. I've seen Playstation discs ruined with steel wool only to be fixed.
