Yes, you can start, convert, and quit. It would be too annoying the other way. And they are pretty good. My HUnewearl uses them as her main weapon (at least until she can use something better, like a Yamato)

Fun FO weapon.

They don't suck.

As Twin Swords, they generally have a lot of power. Plus, since they only have a requirement 390 ATP to use, any class can use them early on.

Very good FO melee weapon, if you can't find any of the FO's Dagger-type weapons.

Except for Rangers, of course. For some reason, Rangers can't use G-Assassin's Sabers.

Right, I had completelyl forgotten that Rangers couldn't use them.

So, up to now there is absolutely no Twin Sword a ranger can equip, btw.

They have lower ATP than Musashi and awful ATA, no odds at hit%, and not usable by Rangers.

In other words, they are good on melee FOs up to Very Hard, in Ultimate you will be missing 80% of the time, and when you hit, you deal crappy damage, you're way better off with a Red Saber.

"in Ultimate you will be missing 80% of the time"

Funny, I hit 90% and deal 600 on Crit in Ruins.

I find them to be pretty good, but the thing is they're pretty slow, as most enemies can interrupt my attack chain.

I tried to use it in Cave once, it was a miracle when I could land 3 hits in one combo.

If I'm to deal 3 hits, I might as well use the much more powerful Red Saber.
