Ok the last time I played PSO, there was ver 1, 2 and episode 1 and 2. Now there are all these other versions. If I may ask, can you tell me the difference in PSO BB Ep 1 and 2 and 4 (wheres 3 ??) . From what I understand PSO BB is just the PC version of EP 1 and 2 , and for some reason ep4 is the pc version of ep 3 ? Is this right?

Also do u guys think Ep1 and 2 or Ep3 is better?

PSOBB is Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst. It's basically Phantasy Star Online Episodes 1 & 2 for the PC with added features. I'm sure there's a thread on the site somewhere that goes over it. I think they even added in new enemies. I think Episode 4 is basically the new missions, like Seat of the Heart and such that reveal more story? Not sure about that.

I thoguht i saw a screenshot of BB Ep4 and it was Card Revolution.

I think seat of the heart is Ep2 PLUS.

To get BB do u need to make a JP hunters license?

You know about episodes 1&2 already, so I won't explain those. Episode 3 is a PSO card game that is currently only available for Gamecube, although many people such as myself are hoping for a PC release. Also, you can play PSOGC and Ep3 together for no extra money. PSOBB, or Blue Burst, is a PC port of PSOX (Xbox) with server side saving to prevent hacking and other major and minor updates. Currently it is only available in Japan although the US release is set for "Spring 2005". Episode 4 is an expansion pack for Blue Burst featuring new areas, enemies and weapons. It is currently out in Japan and has no US release as of now.

Well, you can always import if you really want too. I mainly, I think i'm happy enough with just the GC Ep 1 & 2 right now. But, if they ever decide to release and Ep 4 expansion for GC, i'll snatch it up. Unless of course PSU is already on it's way out by that time.

There is no English patch. There is a guide to downloading the Japanese version here (http://psobb.com.sapo.pt/), but if I were you I'd just wait for the US release because it is so close anyway.

actauly i found a partial english translation patch.

SO US BB is coming out soon? Theres no official release date yet though is there? Also, how much US$ is JP PSO BB?

i think ep1 is best cause i can play it at night without pissing my self (god the ep2 monsters are scary) and i haven't played 3.

PSOBB is an improved version of ep 1&2 NOT a port of the Xbox version. New graphics/new quests/new characters. Ep 4 is a continuation of ep 1&2 with new areas and new monsters.
Ep 3 is not part of BB because it takes place much later in the PSO/Ragol story.

When it says port of xbox, it means they took the xbox version and went from there.

Actually it is a port of PSOX. The graphics can be boosted if you have a good Graphics card. I know somewhere in this forum Cynric has a thread telling how to make use of your card for better graphics. Ep4 is an all new adventure/story with all new enemies, items, and NPC's. And some NPC's make a return and help out w/ the plots of Ep1&2.

If you are really into strategy type games Ep3 is for you. And also you can check on the release date for PSO:BB US at http://www.sega.com/shop/shop.php near the bottom left side of the page.
