Beautiful spring mornings, always something I like to look foward too when I wake up every day and look outside my bedroom window when the sun is barely up. Today is such a day, a wonderful day to get to work early and get out from work early to spend the day with my "Little" Miss doing some random recreational activity or simply drive to whatever place she wants and now it's FUCKING RUINED http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_argh.gif !!!!

Started my day as usual, drive to the farm and start working with the animals, I started by feeding the sheep and then started walking towards to the hen houses when I noticed from the corner of my eye that one of my trees (A Cashew tree, Anacardium occidentale) is not doing too well with the recent drought, so I decide to water the poor thing before tending to the hens.

How do I regret taking that decision... http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif

With a water bucket on hand, I approach the tree and crouch down to water it near the roots, all is nice and peachy until I get back up and bump slightly with my arm a branch, then all fucking hell brakes loose when out of a bunch of half withered leaves a freaking wasp hive the size of my fist decides to swarm me. -__-

Two phrases came to mind quickly "Fuck, I am going to get owned." and "Run Bitch, RUN !!". Tried to run, failed, shook a great deal of them off my body, but I was very unfortunate. I have 5 stings inside my left ear, 7 others on my arms and about 9 on my face.

To say the least, my day is FUCKING.RUINED., I am in a very foul mood and I will probably be like that for the next couple of days, I was already almost recovered from my last case of Exhaustion and now this shit happens to me. I have made up my mind to prepare a a full 2 gallon tank of Malathion to get my revenge on them yellow jacket devils, and using that much is overkill. I will probably lose some chickens from death by this poison overload.

But guess what ?

I. DON'T. FUCKING. CARE. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif <----
Kodiax987 :Smilie added as a small side dish of Bullshit

To hell with the waspS, to hell with the chickens, to hell with the ducks, to hell with FUCKING EVERYTHING !!

Note: I won't be using mIRC for a while, too upset by my moronic mistake, best to steer away from chat programs while one is this pissed, feelings are bound to get hurt with my replies right now... http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif

"Fucking Wasps. C**ts"

Shit, that sounds really bad. No one likes to get stung, but getting stung that many times must hurt alot. Hope it gets better soon.

Oh, and it doesnt sound like a stupid mistake as you werent to know the wasp nest was there. Tis just an accident.

Yeah, not really a stupid mistake. Happens to anyone.

But yeah, wasps are real bitches. They're the one kind of bee that I have an instinct to kill on sight, and yellow jackets and hornets heh.

I remember we had a nest of yellow jackets in our house years ago, over summer vacation I'd get stung at night while asleep, and the little fuckers always got me on my knee or right at the end of the knee(soft part on the back of your leg). Eventually we found the nest, and what a nest it was heh. Turns out the little bitches had an entire wall in the laundry room, from floor to ceiling, nested. Took like four large black garbage bags to put all the nest in, and damn was it aweful trying to kill them.

You have my sympathy though, thats a lot of stings, and really bad where they got you too. =

oh, and I'd recommend dowsing them in gas and setting it ablaze. =]

Ah the joy of thoroughly gassing and igniting an underground eye-dotter nest.

We had something similar back when I was about 7. There was a wasp nest in our house and everyday I would see one of those little bastards and it would always go after me. Luckily, we found it in a couple days and got rid of them.

That sucks you got stung... that many times. I can't stand getting stung on the hand, but that many times in the ears, I couldn't stand it.

Have fun setting those mofo's ablaze. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Ouch, I'm allergic to stings from these kind of things. Got stung on my arm once and my eyebrow skins swelled up.>_>

Anyway, here's a semi-comedic related story. Back when I was like 5 or something in my old neighborhood, I would always go over Tommy's house. One of our favorite pasttimes was to climb trees, which is what we were doing when we found a hornet's nest. We didn't like hornets, so I handed Tommy a branch and said to "Beat it." He did. Unfortunately, it was right over his head and broke off, and it went DOWN HIS SHIRT AND GOT STUCK THERE. He immediately began crying and fell out of the tree, and I was laughing too hard(being as how I was 5) to go for help. He ended up going to the hospital or something, I don't remember, I was 5.

In short, yea, I hate hornets too. ._. Carry Raid with you, maybe they make little cans of it like the do Axe.

I remember there were wasp nests all around my home.
Most of them where hiding under or in concrete... So whenever I was bored... I would sit outside the little holes of theirs and lay the smackdown on each wasp that tries to get inside or get outside from the concrete. I even flushed out a few nests before with the hose http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif Anyways I myself got stung before... I remember the best way to hold a wasp was by its wings. Unfortunately one time I made a mistake of only holding one wing and as I watched in amazement, the sharp point of his ass opened up and I saw this white clearish needle coming out and it went into my skin, thus I got stung... got pissed and like threw the wasp into the concrete and crushed it with my shoe http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif Fun stuff though haha.

Spam some other topic please http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif , you seem to be spamming the heck out of other topics, so why bother and continue doing it in mine when there are so many others ? Hmmm ? http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

He was just trying to lighten up the mood.

I'm not allergic to wasps, but I've had a fear of them ever since one got stuck in my sock and stung my ankle so many times I couldn't walk for two days.

soapy water should be enough to get rid of the wasps. it softens the water so the water tension weakens and then the water can go through their little breathing holes in the side of their body and will drown to death. also a great way of getting rid of aphids and other insect pests.

this way you don't kill your chickens, light your tree on fire (it is a productive tree, it sounds), and/or poison any precious resources on your land. or there's always exterminators -- often a few of them will wear their beekeeper nets and just use soapy water like i said.

also smoke is useful to lulling them into stupor.

couldn't you just spray the water hose from a distance and water the tree?

ps: calamine lotion or well ground oatmeal mush should be good for cooling the pain. that and a hit of vicadine.

Soapy water is nice for getting rid of most pests on plants and it is by far one of the best options for delicate plants(generally plants that do not produce wood and have rather soft, evergreen stems) that would not tolerate such pesticides such as Malathion, Diazinon, Captan and others...

Well to prevent any accidental poisoning of any animal I decided to get them back to their cages before spraying, after the deed was done I setted up four high poles around the tree and then hung a net over the tree to prevent any other bird to enter the treated area.

Also...
Fire ? who said anything of using fire ? That is by far too drastic, but I guess it would have been great fun to see the bastards burn inside a jar, hell maybe even throw them inside the freezer... maybe some other time...

Oh, and I am too poor to hire an exterminator to do something I could easely do myself http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif.

also smoke is useful to lulling them into stupor.

I do not have a metal bucket to transport the smoke :/. This is mostly common knowledge, anyway, but I did not want to relocate their hive, I wanted to destroy it http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif.

I don't think a hose would serve me well in a five acre wide area >.>;;, most of the places I recieve water from are in the borders of the property, I would need a VERY long hose for it to work, besides it would be a tremendous hassle just to drag it around.

Too late for me to try those remedies, but garlic oil also works wonders.

EDIT: By the way, I don't have a problem with bees. I have a huge bee hive in one of my trees and they work wonders for my flowers, they have been living in that tree for years now, and I have never got stung by them not even once.

that is the biggest wasp nest I've ever seen.
I can see why you want them out.

Anyways, I'm sorry to hear what happened to you, Nasca. But at least it was a really good story! http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smilejap.gif

That's a pretty good-sized nest, too! I've heard that out in remote areas of woods (here in Florida) they can be absolutely enormous - like, the size of cars. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif

But one even the size of your attackers' is nothing to scoff at.

Yikes, that really bites... I would of threw gas on the nest and burned the mofo down. As for the tree... casualties of war my friend, casualties of war.

*shudder* I have waspophobia, or whatever it's really called, so this story definitely speaks to me.

However, I have to suggest that soapy water isn't nearly a climactic enough end to this tale. I would probably devise some really diabolical and sadistic trap for the wasps, and then a really messy way of killing them. Like getting them all into some kind of cage, and then putting the cage in the freezer until they all stopped moving. Then I'd pull all their legs off, and wait for them to wake up and realize they couldn't walk. Haha.

That many stings would have probably killed me.
