..Yeah.I was just curious about the selection of avatars on-site. I can tell that most of them came came from official PSO artwork and all that, but what I'm really curious about where the other ones are from, and who did them.

'Specially this one cuz it looks so damn cool: http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/avatar/ak2.gif

This may be really random, but anyone have any info on where these other avatars were found? Because I'd really really like to go check out more of their stuff.

*cough*

A number of them came from other Phantasy Star games, and many of them are from some of the early art found in Fanworks. You can find a lot of those in the Fan Art Gallery (http://www.pso-world.com/fanart.php).

As far as the PSO Sprite avatars go, those have been floating around the net for a while; I'm not exactly sure where they originated, but I do know that they popped up on the PS Cave (http://www.pscave.com) before they popped up here.

And probably came from Japanese sites before that... I know that's where I got the sprites to edit into Elly and Calus from.

Speaking of avatars from Phantasy Star games, I still want to know why the hell they didn't use the ones of Rune and Wren that got submitted. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif I want to use a Rune avatar. T_T

Bah, I'm such a doofus, this should've been in Site-related. Doh! Sorry about that.

As for lots of them being snippets from the fanart gallery, that thought occurred to me.

Dang, I must buy me one of those PSO artwork books that are floating around....
