Yeah, im tryin to get online, but I cant yet. Any recommendations or anything of the such when I get it? If I do get online (75% chance I will) My character I'll play online as is probably...

I am going to assume you are playing the GC version of the game.

The first thing you should get is a real keyboard. While a person can type out short phrases with the software keyboard, it is annoying and becomes impossible to hold any real conversations.

Other than that, I would recommend trying to find a group of friends while avoiding crowded lobbies. Try out challenge mode (to get yourself a SRank weapon) and the various online quests.

Try to avoid the temptation of using duped/hacked weapons. You'll probably get more enjoyment out of the game if you do.

Just got online with my GC, like 10 mins ago, so far i'm just trying out empty ship's for the quests.
might try find some people to level up with later on.

It seems alot faster than offline mode, maybe its just me.

So far so good for me, been in a few teams , leveld up a few times, altho it can take a while to find some good people.

im planning on getting online in about a month or two as well,(also got the gamecube)about the keyboard, will one from a computer work, or does this have it's own special keyboard?, cuz i already gotta buy a modem and if a gotta buy a keyboard too i gotta know,thanks!(by the way, does this have a ridiculously high fee,like some of these online, or is it reasonable?)

You have three options for keyboards:

1. ASCII keyboard - It is an officialy licensed keyboard. Some people think it is a bit small, but most people adapt to it well. However, they can be difficult to to find now.

2. Datel Powerboard - Cheap keyboard/conveter put out by Datel. They are usable, but people have had problems with them.

3. Keyboard Converter off Ebay - These seem to cost between $10 - $20. You'll have to buy your own keyboard. I've never used this so I can't say anything about the quality.

Here is how a typical conversation would go between a keyboard and non-keyboard user:

Ryna (person with a keyboard): Super Chao, what do you think of the Dalai Lama's paintings?
Super Chao (5 second pause): cool
Ryna: Can you elaborate on that viewpoint?
Super Chao (10 second pause): very cool
Ryna: I see. Are we talking about Frozen Shooter "cool" or ToH just found a 100% hit Yasminkov 7000v type "cool"?
Super Chao (5 second pause): 2nd
Super Chao: Please create a team. > Ryna
Super Chao: I want to kill a BOOMA! > Ryna

stay away from crowded ship's/block's, arrange to meet friends in empty/ relitivly empty places, and dont give your guild card away to anybody. and on the fun side do loads of quests with you teammates or challenge mode, its way funner than normal running through the level's.
