Easter Canceled?

Someone over on GameFAQs said that Sega said it would not have Easter events online this year. I have a hard time believing that, but seeing as how I'm planning on renewing my Hunter's Liscense exclusively for the Easter events, I'd like to know for sure. Has anyone heard anything about this?

Also, does anyone know approximately when the Easter events will begin this year? I know the timing of Easter is kind of wonky so I wasn't sure. (Plus I've never been online during Easter before, so I don't know when it begins.)

That sounds very unlikely to me. They're doing Valentine's, White day, now cherry trees and for some reason they would just skip Easter?

Maybe they were talking about the Xbox version?

Yes Viriginia, there is such a thing as an Easter Rappy.


Sonic Team has not announced any plans to cancel Easter. Things are just a bit off this year because ST has to fit in three seasonal events (White Day, Spring, and Easter) within a relatively tight time frame. There is an excellent chance that the Easter event will be put up at the start of April.

Indeed.
BB had both S. Valentine and White Day a week earlier than GC and now has Easter Lobbies and Rappies. BB didn't get the HANAMI Lobbies.
I think no Easter on GC this year: a mistake IMHO, since HANAMI is just a Japanese holiday and Easter is a more important one in the world. People can even play more on Easter Vacation...

I think they are just running late for GC, for xbox...well they didnt bother last year so I would'nt be surprised (still pissed though) if they stiffed us again this year.

Because GC isn't Xbox or BB.

While it may not be directly related, BB is based off the Xbox version for EPI&II. As for whether that makes the schedules the same on both, who knows.

Just because it's not out yet, doesn't mean it's "never coming out" or that it has "come out late". Wait until it gets to the days it normally comes out, then start worrying about whether it's late.

Hopefully they wont cancel easter, i mean come on why would anyone not want people to experience a walking egg rather than a ugly, pink dumb bird? If we dont get easter i will be very upset with sega just for the fact that people have to skip a time of walking eggs and not being able to get a frying pan in a red box. Maybe we can trick our parents into believing its easter again so we get more eggs!....hmm if only..

Are the lobby changes on Xbox handled by MS?
If so, that may be why you see a difference. MS and ST changing lobbies at different times.

It's not important WHY it's different. The point is that GC will get Easter lobbies and egg rappies, just as always. It just comes at a later time.

I am not sure if it an Easter quest or not, but currently we are playing a 10000 kill quest. This is only online. You have to kill 10,000 and acquire lucky tickets. Many of us who are play this quest still do not know what is involved in the prize portion yet. We just do it in hopes of acquiring something really great when it is all said and done. So far I have over 2000 kills with my force character. It's pretty exciting seeing as you CANNOT use telepipes.....basically you have to play with a VERY GOOD group of friends .......you can max kill bout 579 with a really good group in 30 minutes. Alone you only get about half that!

Those are the Maximum Attack quests. They're unrelated to Easter, and you don't "have to acquire" Lucky Tickets, the tickets just help you to get more points. The prize for completing everything is a Black Ring and 5 Photon Spheres. To get that, you will need to get 10K points on both MA1 and MA2, then collect all the hearts by replaying the quests with other people of different section IDs and classes that have 10K kills in those quests as well (12 hearts of classes for MA1, 10 hearts of IDs for MA2). For MA1 the maximum number of kills is 587, this can be acquired with two players and 15 minutes. With only one person you should be able to get over 500. For MA2 the maximum number of kills is over 900, you'll need four people all split up for that.
You don't need a "very good group of friends" for that, just a few other people in Mintaka (a Japanese ship on PSO-GC) you've never seen before that know the quest as well. >_>;
