Redria spread needle hunt

I must of have done over 50 "From the Depths" runs, because the drop rate from a chaos bringer is 1/358. 7 Chaos Bringers appear in that quest. Is there another quest I can do offline that has the same amount? Redria people how long did it take you to find the Spread Needle or are you guys still hunting for it?

Retired Hunter is the way to a Spread Needle because there are 3 dark bringers in the entire quest and it can be done in 15 mins. Its basically faster From the Depths.

You could just raise a new character (either Greenill, Purplenum or Yellowboze), and get it on that. 1/900 from Merlans is a more convenient drop.
Unless you wanted to stick with just those two characters.

Not everyone has the ability to spend their entire day , and the resources needed, to level up a character to 120-130 to be able to withstand Ultimate Ruins, JUST to get a Spread Needle.

Yes, but Purplenum is an excellent Section ID in the end. So to hunt Spread Needle can be a reason, and all the other excellent drops would be the reason to keep said character.

ive done well over 45 ruin runs. Wether it be EN4 or full ruins runs, i have yet to get that drop. Ive gotten nearly all the ruins drops except spread needle, meteor cudgle, Pwand, and smoking plate.

it doesn't make any sense to me, I found two meteor cudgels (the drop rate is 1/700) but i cant find one spread needle (1/358) off a more common enemy. I got a purplenum in veryhard he's at lvl 44 in forest. I'm way too close to train another character to survive in Ult ruins. Anybody out there who's redria that found the spread needle? Any words of encouragement or advise?

I got my spread needle doing my second run through ruins 2...

Bringer dropped it in the "long" room, had 10% hit untekked!

From the Depths can also be done in less then 15 minutes and i think it has 6 bringers.

7 bringers btw, tried yet another depth run last night and I got a DF field.

1/358 is an easy drop rate, but from a less common enemy, which makes it much harder. Id have to agree that a 1/900 Merlan drop is easier, but otherwise keep doing FtD runs, it'll drop eventually.

btw if any of you guys are hunting the red mechguns, do "the retired hunter" i counted over 10 del-d's...the drop rate is another story 1/900.
