Hello! I decided to resume my Hunter's Licence, and before I stopped playing the last time, there wasn't really any large incidences of hacking. But apparently, that has changed. I own a router, and it is fairly configurable, so I was wondering if there is a way I can block certain ports or something similar to protect myself, or is there no way to do so because the FSODs use the same ports as PSO? Anywho, thanks for any help that can be provided.

I dont think FSODers are exploiting port's on your modem/broadband connection, they just glitch your game and cause an error.

Best way to protect yourself is to not play online.

Unless you know a load of people who you can meet in a deserted lobby you won't have much fun anyways

Well, I'm saddened to hear that the GC PSO is probably going the way of the DC version. Since I reactivated, I've got a month to see how the community is at the moment, so I'll probably take Jason's advice on what to do. If I find it likely that I won't have fun anymore, I guess I'll just have to cancel for good. <sigh>
