GC-Item: Donoph's Sword

In The Retired Hunter, the chacter Donoph has a sword that looks like clouds from FF7, im wondering how to get it, without a cheating device. Aslo there is a side quest, u can do once Donoph leaves your party. I have the stuff set up, but how do i get Donoph's cool sword?

when he dies why cant you just take it from him hes just lying there and your characters like "oooh a really cool item might as well leave it for him it will come in useful in the afterlife i guess" but instead you have to go find it the normal way

I know right? Just like when Zoke is laying there in the ruins and you're walking around gathering up the sweet-ass blades of his why not just keep em right?
