Your PSO Party II

I made a topic like this many months ago on pso-p and people seemed to like it. So lets see if it'll be a hit on PSOW.

The premise of this thread is to pretend that PSO is a traditional RPG like Final Fantasy or Star Ocean etc. As always in any good RPG, you get to choose people you meet in the story to join your party. Who amongst your online friends would you choose to journey in your 10 person party with if this were a linear, traditional RPG?

The SR (StarRaiders) gang (Shiek/Enigma, Jason/Paris/Elwood, Heinan/Blistein, SirTom, Aerilias, etc) - I met Jason first, I was a n00b and he offered me some of his extra old wpns that he kept in storage. Shiek & Aerlias were later had some good ep3 battles together. Aerlias/Cyrocuber is a good cmoder, but his bro Cyrocuber which I don't see or play much with. Heinan a good & excellent FOmar has cmoded with me a lot.

Auracom, Kefka, Ryna, Rena, Tycho, Deus Irae, Samurai - Another kooky group of people, helpful, and a tight batch of close knit friends... if four are there its going to be full, but they are helpful, sorry for packing you up all together, expect big big parties for those reaching 200

This is a bit late in replying to this, but I felt the thread was a bit more like, Who's your best friends on PSO, or Who do you think is worth your time? I don't like hurting people's feelings, even if I don't know them in real life, so I wasn't going to really take part in this until I saw what Saiffwin wrote there. It is a very nice compliment, although I don't know if you could get many others to agree upon its validity.

Top ten, easily done. If I can even think of ten people I have played with regularly in the past year, I'll be amazed. This isn't in any particular order of preferance, just to be sure, they are just the people I play with most often.

10. Tycho - FOnewearl specifically, of course. For being a fonewearl and all, and not having much confidence in his force abilities (at least he didn't at one time), this guy is probably the most inspiring person I've played with in the past year and a half, easy. His attitude is almost always bouyant, and the times that it's not, he is well spoken enough to get his thoughts across on things.

9. Dark Shadow - HUcast, specifically. His name is Brian. This is one of the originals I used to play with, and I met him on a different forum than PSOworld. In fact, I've met most of the people I have played with regularly on that different forum. Dark Shadow is a great friend, always comes to visit me because he knows I'll be sitting alone in my little lobby doing nothing. The fact that he cares enough to just get on and say hello is good, but he's also a great player. I'm going to consider that at level 150 something, he's a lower level HUcast, but he can match play abilities with the best of them, seriously. With well over 300 battle wins, he has me outmatched by quite a bit. Good thing I only want to get up to 200 to match Adam's level.

8. Tyrant Flame. - HUmar His name is Ryan, and he's from London, South London, to be exact. A good friend, always up for a game or two. Now if he wasn't a Humar, he'd be even better.

7. Purple Haze. - FOnewm His name is David, also from South London. He and Ryan are good friends in real life. David is intereting to me in the fact that he is constantly playing the skeptic over my finds and accomplishments, but he's friendly just the same, and always follows through with his FOnewm in a game. Good show.

6. Sharkyland. - any number of HUnewearl I'm not certain of his name, although I think it rhymes with Ray or something. He is a great challenge player, probably the best we have known personally since SNK left the game, maybe even better, since SNK didn't ever get through episode 2 challenge that I know of. Even though he has admitted to me that he sometimes feels used by people as an extra to a challenge game, he still pushes forward with his army of HUnewearls. Nice personality, now go get your comic done so we can all see it.

5. Lightning. - HUmar Another person named Ryan, but this one is from Newfoundland, which is just a few hours ahead of me. Lightning has been a friend of mine since I came out of my first retirement from PSO, but I knew him from before that. He is another from that mysterious "OTHER" forum that I meet all these people at. Since he and I became friends, we have hunted a lot of things as a team, adding quite a few hours to my character. He is in love with katanas. Some of you may remember him as the previous co host of my now defunct stupid series of videos.

4. Haldir. - FOnewm Name is Delwyn, One of the first level 200 FOnewms, back before Towards the Future made getting level 200 too easy. He hit 200 slightly after I did, but he was almost always a great friend, and good team mate. He had a few other characters, but the FOnewm is what I will remember him by the most. Though he is long gone now, and has been for well over a year, he was still one of the better friends I have had online... until he went all wierd on everybody and vanished. Used to be moderator of the mysterious other forum, winning in a close race against myself for the spot.

3. ThugsRus. - HUcast Name is Alex. He rarely plays anymore, but he was a good friend while he was around. Present along with Dark Shadow when the guld dropped in the test shot, he was witness to a great find.

2. Match. - HUcast Name is Brendon, and lives in Europe somewhere, close enough to London that he goes there often. Used to be the original moderator of the mysterious other forum until I bitched about him and complained so much that he resigned. Since then, we've patched things up a lot, and he's a good friend, and not so bad a player, when he can actually get on.

Everybody else I've played with regularly, or even not regularly. - HUcast, HUcaseal, HUmar, HUnewearl, RAcast, RAcaseal, RAmar, RAmarl, FOnewm, FOnewearl, FOmarl, FOmar It is a matter of fact that I don't get out much online on PSO, I don't try new groups of people to game with, and even if I'm known, I don't pry into other people's circles to try to get invited into games. There is no need for it. Everybody has their own set of skill involved with playing, and if it fits with a group of people, go with it. There is no best or worst online.
