red slime clone trick?

I was using my RAcast lvl 129 doing addicting food quest, i started piping to get a red slime, a couple of minutes he appeared, sooo I killed the other slime, which was blue, and went after the red one, I equipped my mind raygun and used the special to clone the slime. But when it cloned itself it spitted out blue slimes instead of red ones??? did i miss something? if it helps I'm playing on PSO+....is this a glitch or something???

No, whenever you split a slime it has a 1/512 chance of being a rare slime. It is not guaranteed that if you split a red slime it will make another red slime.

if the rare slime is 1/512, and lavis' rate from it 1/22, then it should make this the easiest to find.. yet!

I found my two lavis cannons within one hour and only 2 3 red slimes..

happened that i actually could "clone" the red one. but they only dropped 1 red scorpio.

does that mean that I can apply the cloning trick on blue slimes and have a chance of getting a red one spit out? (and no I won't do it to the 2 that are in the same room in Addicting Food)

yes.
if you've had read the guides about it, you'd know that there is a chance that every slime is red.
and they dont copy themselfes, they procreate when they get split. so a slime that got split off may be red.

When you're splitting then, be careful not to kill them. Because if you happen to split them as much as you can and none appear, just leave the room and use the telepipe trick. When you go back, the original slime will be there and you can split them again and just keep using it until you get a red slime.
