Its a beta test.

unsure if its for both NA and EU but I would expect it should be because it sounds ridiculous to have two versions... both most likely to have english support... but seperate servers..

2. Europeans played the Japanese beta test just fine, so I'm sure you'll have no problem other than having to enter a fake address.

Sitka, I sincerely doubt anything past C1 would be available for the US Beta.

As for Episode 4 cmode, I don't think there has been an announcement about that. However, one could speculate that there eventually will be one.

Are your beta characters seperate from the one's you'd eventually use in the full game? Im guessing they will be, but not sure.

C Mode wasnt released for a while after beta on JP, but when it was it was hella fun, but frustrating. At the time CMode was there, there was a CPU crash bug, and people would randomly crash throughout cmode levels, so completely one with a full team was close to impossible . I'm hoping the US version won't be like that.

Edit: I dunno if I'll do much Cmode seeing as all my character blocks are full, and I've already completed Episode I challenge mode on BB and got my twin. I also wouldn't pay to play English BB since I have better stuff on JP. I will probably play beta for fun though.

I think comparing what happened in the JP beta to what may happen in the US beta is sort of .. I dunno .. stupid.

Obviously JP has been out of beta for awhile. There have been numerous bug fixes, additions, modification to the code.

I'm sure the US beta would be running off of the latest code revision with the only thing changed being the language.

Problems that were apparent in the early Japanese game but fixed later are pretty much 100% sure to NOT be there in the US beta.

I'm pretty sure that EP4 will not come with the Open Beta download. I'm convinced that Open Beta will just be Episode 1&2, and maybe even Battle Mode, but we're not so sure yet.

At this point, I don't think anyone knows yet. I believe people were able to keep their Beta characters after the JP Open Beta ended.

Nope, that's one of the points of the beta. To give people a chance to play the game for free, the other major reason being to find bugs.

No word select? You mean the option is gone now or the word select menu does not come up at all in the NA version?

The option is gone. You can hit the button/key to bring up the chat stuff, but while symbol chat is there, word select simply isn't.

OK, I have it downloaded and installed. I try to register my user and pass with it, so I hitt enter on the USERID blank... when I hit a key, nothing comes up in the text blank. So I just exited the program. Anyone else have this problem?

I had this same problem.

Make sure that your language setting is set to English and that you do not have any IMEs installed. Also, you may have to remove East Asian language support.

I'm talking about the settings for your operating system. I'm using Windows XP SP2. For me, I have to go to Start Menu->Control Panel->Regional and Language Options->Languages->Details.

I only have English running as an installed service and uninstalled East Asian support under the Advanced Tab.
