splitting slimes

is there any special way to split slimes. like a special attack or a technique, me and my friend are looking for pouilly slimes. id be very thankful for any information, thanks.

Gibarta, Rabarta, and the third hit of a combo, make sure the first two will miss. Special attacks on untekked weapons, Charge when you have no money, and S-rank Jellen work well.

S-Rank Jellen is a special attack you can add on to S-Rank weapons (only obtainable online).

You obtain SRank weapons by playing through online challenge mode. Complete challenge mode within a certain time limit and you will get a customizable weapon. You can then add a special attack of your choice to that weapon in exchange for some photon drops.

This can be done on GC and PSOX.

I'm not 100% sure, but I dont think it works, since Barta can't freeze enemies either. Ive never split a slime with barta, could just be coincidence, but I'm not sure. Gi/Rabarta work really well.

This won't always work. THe first hit of an attack could split them, and they might never split. Also, Foie can split them as well, along with any technique. The splitting is almost random, but the methods posted by Tycho are commonly used.

I've never seen the first hit of a combo split a slime. I've never seen a fire attack split a slime either.

In fact, I always spam Gifoie to get rid of slimes before they start becoming a problem. When I see them moving about the ground, I cast Gifoie 3+ times or as much as I can cast it before they rise up. Usually when they rise up, even on Ultimate mode, they die instantly because all 3+ Gifoies hit them at once.

The only techs I've ever seen split slimes are the ice-based ones and I *think* I saw zonde split them before as well.

The 3rd button tap of a 3-button combo usually will always split a slime as well as Rabarta, though.

I split a Slime with Foie just an hour ago in Ult Cave as my FOnl.

I would guess, from your very own words, that "along with any technique" would mean just what you said. "Any technique". Which would include Gifoie.

I haven't really seen Foie split a slime either, but I'm going to try it when I get home. They usually just take the Foie blast and go back underneath.

I think Gifoie works pretty well for splitting Slimes

How odd. Gifoie NEVER splits slimes for me.. EVER. Even when they don't die from my spam.

I'll even take a movie of it.

Perhaps what determines if a slime splits is the power of how you attack them. If it does under a certain amount of damage, it splits. Perhaps your Gifoie is too weak.

I always use GIfoie to kill slimes, yet I've seen it happen as well.

Which proves my point that just about anything can split a slime with certain methods working better than others.

I've seen foie split slimes while foing in cmode (and it's annoying when you're trying to clear fast).
As for gifoie splitting the slimes, I'm not sure. I just use rabarta if I want them to split. >.>

I've also seen slimes split as a result of Foie being cast on them in cmode.
