I was wondering if the item drops would change if you go with a group of people with different section ID's, and how those drops are found. I know that certain section ID's find different items, but I was wondering what would happen if there were two different section ID's in a group.

The game makers section ID determines the drops for that game. If an Oran makes the game, you'll find only Oran items.

Loot rules follow section ID of whoever created game.

does it matter if you are offline? Is it the first player or something?

yes offline you will just find items from your ID. But in multi-mode you find items from whoever is player 1 ID is.

If you are playing solo, the Section ID of your character determines what drops.

If you are in multiplayer mode, the Section ID of the first player determines what drops.

Nah. You're just a novice. A n00b is someone that has been told something, yet continues to do the opposite... such as,

'OMFGWTFZ0RZZZ!!!! I JUST GOT GENE FLOW!!!'

As long as you don't say stuff like that, then feel free to ask questions. All of us were in your shoes once... in some ways I still am. >_<
