I'm giving the PC version a try after long ago bidding my Dreamcast a fond farewell (well it's carefully stored not dead http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif)
I've been enjoying the nostalgia. Ah, the heady days of that incredibly long telephone/modem wire leading all the way from my room to the phone point in the kitchen. I've started to think about aiming for certain MAG stats now. If I remember rightly, Apsaras was my MAG of choice and Pilla was the PB to learn during mid-evolution because Apsaras itself learns Golla and the first evolution learns Estlla (I think that's the name - the circly snake).
Currently lv10 Hunter and my MAG has already evolved into Varuna. According to the charts here, Marutah is the one that learns Pilla, so the plan is:
By MAG lv35: DEX > POW & MIND (evolve to Marutah)
By MAG lv50: POW > MIND > DEX (evolve to Apsaras, maintain stat balance)
I certainly remember that it can change forms after hitting level 50 if the stat balance changed (I was mortified when mine turned into Kama http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif)
On top of that, I'm trying to keep the highest amount of POW possible while maintaining the "Apsaras with Pilla PB" goal. DEF would also be preferable to DEX and MIND I think, they're just for evolution purposes.
I'm still working out exactly how to do this. I need to log in, note down what its stats currently are and do some maths. I know I went POW-heavy early on (before I had plans for it) which was probably a mistake... I'll be back later but I anticipate I'll be starting again with my MAG and that the rogue stat (DEF) will be seeing some buffing.
If any of you current PSO players out there can lend a guiding hand it'd be appreciated, I'm pretty rusty. I'd like to hear if this is even a sensible choice of MAG evolution too. Discuss please http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif
If you want to meet/talk in game, my hunter's name is "MR", I usually go to ship 2 block 2. Section ID is Purplenum.
EDIT: OK scrapped that plan after looking at the guides some more. Varuna ==> Marutah ==> Varaha is the plan now.
