Mag Evo?

Made a ranger and raised mag to lv 10 for estilla, gave mag to my hunter, and at lv 35 evo it turned into ranger evo instead of hunter's. Is that supposed to happen? Did I do something wrong?

You need to give us some details. What were the Section IDs of your Ranger and Hunter? What were the stats on the mag at level 34?

HUmar ID - skyly
RAmar ID - greennill
At lv 34 stats were 5/7/22/0
It should have evolved into a Marutah(dex>pow&mnd), but instead it turned into a Mitra(dex>pow&mnd).
Mag was equipped on hunter as well.

Everything checks out, so I can't explain what happened there. Maybe Skorpius knows what is going on.

Level 35 evolution will always be based on what class evolved it at level 10. Class that evolves it at 35 makes no difference.

Class only affects level 10 and 50+ evolutions.

The only difference this makes is a possible slight change in feeding and looks, since the PB earned is based on the highest stat (and will be the same for all classes).


This applies to GC and XBox versions as well as BB (I don't know about DC or the original PC, since I never played them).

Edit: Thanks for the info. Didn't know that. I should be able to adjust my feeding chart accordingly, heh I'm a noob now. So much more stuff in PSO now versus PSO:v1 on DC.
My biggest concern was if the 50 evo would correspond to ranger or hunter.

So if i would want the Kaithababa (whatever fish mag, Type B Ranger Dex>Power>Mind gives Twins) id have to give it to a Type B Ranger at 50 then?

No, give it to the ranger at MagLvl 49, feed him till he reaches lv 50 and he will evolve to your Kaitabha.
Mag has to be on the ranger when it dings lv 50.

sometimes i feed my hunter's mag with my ranger, and it was turning into the mags that should change for hunters and rangers for some time (after giving just 1 item) and now nothing http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

After level 50 is when the character class always makes a huge difference in Mag feeding. Mags can only change when fed an item that makes them a multiple of 5, or when fed when they are at a multiple of 5 (could explain why it isn't changing anymore).
