How does the multiplayer rare drop system work?

I didn't used to do a lot of multiplayer, but a kid moved in across the street and he plays PSO, so here latley I have been and was just wandering if anyone knew (insert topic here).

offline multi or online game, drops follow the id of the maker/leader

online there is ways to change id without remaking the game; offline you have to follow player 1's id

oh drops doesn't matter who, what or how you do it.. it just happens by chance http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif
