Anyone use a Maser Beam?

I saw a small pic/read some on it and it looks like a lightning shooting shotgun.
If I'm wrong then tell me what it really is/does.

I'm interested as I may try "Towards The Future" on Ultimate and get it for my RAnger if its any good.

Maser beam is about the worst gun in the entire game.

It shoots Zonde. You can use it with a lv 200 character with max ATP in Normal Forest and still do under 100 damage.
