I have been playing guitar for a while now and I need new guitar so its between the Gibson Les Paul or Gibson SG.

Well personally when it comes to guitars I would find out which one you prefer rather than go with what some stranger tells you (they might play a different style, prefer different tones than you etc)... Get down to a guitar shop and ask to try them both out, see which one sounds best to you

I personally enjoy the Les Paul Gibson. Just see which one you prefer to use.

I personally don't like Gibsons at all, but IMO go with the les paul.
