I played CCA for a little while today, and even after turning the graphics down lower, it still lags in the water plant part of CCA. I think it has something to do with the fog, since when it briefly subsides, the lag disappears. On opening BB, i noticed the 3 types of fog (Pixel, vertex and emulation). Which of these would make CCA run the smoothest, if there's any difference at all? Cheers!

What do you currently have the fog set to? Without knowing anything about the algorithms Sonic Team uses to emulate fog, I would have to say that "pixel-based" is probably the least CPU-intensive.

Currently set up as follows:
GFX card- ATI Radeon X300 (128MB)
Frame Skip:0
High-Res textures
Shadow Detail: Medium
Enemy Detail: Low
Map Detail :low
Clip Distance :50%
Fog: Pixel Fog

I guess it could be the high-res (I'm assuming its high res, since low-res textures isn't ticked)

That fog effect you can select in the launcher is for the dark room effect, poison fog, things like that, not the CCA fog.

Oh, any way at all to reduce lag in CCA then?
