Last week, my class did sex education. For me, it's not of the content, but of my classmates.

Every time my teacher said "breasts" or "vagina" or "penis", everybody in my class laughed. However, every week before that, everybody moaned when it brought up. Everybody in my class is acting like a 3-year-old with the knowledge of sex, they scream it everywhere and laugh while getting carried away with it. I was the only one in my class who didn't laugh.

You don't want sex ed., huh? Well let me ask you this:

You are a virgin and it's prom night, you are sober and you both get carried away. When you see her naked you look at her legs and say,"Cool, What's that!"

Those who laugh during sex ed. in my class are all synthetic vaginas.

I thought that kind of thing was common in sex ed classes back in school. I didn't laugh either, but I guess other kids thought it was funny because the teacher was openly talking about this. I guess sex organs are a big joke and/or taboo for kids to hear it from teachers. I guess I don't get it either.

I guess the things they taught in sex ed back in 5th grade I already knew about though.

I only laughed this year, cause we had sophomores come in and asked what we were learning: they decieded it was "French Sex Ed" while insulting the french. Me, being a person who doesnt like the language French (especially for its US High School teachers) could not resist laughing with them. Is that reasonable?

by the end of jr. high all of that should wear off. in high school there might be a little nervous tittering and some blushes, but overall it should be all over by then.

unless you are in high school... in which case o_O OMG what spastic lil' immature "synthetic vaginas!"

Wow... we had sex ed for like 5 minutes in my conservative little town... the teachers were so uncomfortable that they went through things as fast as possible probably confusing half of the class...

I totally remember the teacher answering a question incorrectly... the guy who asked it must have been fucked up for a really long time afterwards is all I can think...

I remember my sex ed teacher in Ninth Grade.
She was cool. "I know you're going to laugh, but try not to exxagerate ok?"
And man..the std parts? >_< She actually showed us pictures of genital warts and herpes. Freakishly nasty. I lost my appetite that day.

Can't you simply answer?

What's so wrong about respecting a teacher? Ever thought about standing up for hours while raising your voice to 30+ immature kids for every day for the rest of your life?

OMG, STFU!

How dare you expect others to act in a compassionate manner? *Shakes head sadly*

And to think I thought that you were nobody. Seems that you're actually a decent person.

Prick.

I dont respect poor teachers. never have done and never will do. if they teach well, and dont bitch about silence then they're usually ok, but ive had some who thought it was a good lesson when the chavs didnt set fire to anything. should they be respected?

Should teachers respect you? Should they give you the grades you deserve, evaluate you the way you pay to be, and teach you the way you want to be taught?

Yes they should. Not only for respect.

And even IF they don't, the lamest excuse in the world is using the others to justify your actions.

It really comes down to seeing each other as a human being. And all of them really deserve some sort of respect from each other.

You treat them well, they treat you well.
Especially teachers. In all honesty, I don't see why they would single anybody out if you are not giving them trouble. It just make their job harder. Just, put yourself in other's shoes for a moment and maybe you'll see why they can be cranky at times.

That being said, I have had bad teachers. Some are just not very good with their teaching, some are just not very nice. But that goes for just about all sorts of people in the world. I am not going to go out of my way to disrupt class just for the sake of it. That'd earn me some serious trouble which I can do without.

Some single out because they care about the students. Yes, some teachers actually do care. Anyway... Back on the topic of "LOLZ SEKZ EDERMACATIONZ"....

Part of it is, many of the parts of the body are "inherently funny words". There are words that just make people laugh, whether by connotation or just purely by sound. Unfortunately, the sex ed. classes are filled with these words that cover both. Oh and for those of you who don't know what inherently funny words are...

Funniest thing seen a teacher demonstrate the proper way to use a condom on a banana. I raised my hand and suggested she should peel the banana so that way we know the banaba is circumscised (spelling).

Yeah, good thing you brought those up. But some "inherently funny words" are still subjectively funny.

Like, does anyone else here find the word "Tool" to be funny? Of course not.

my older brother had me watching porn since back when i was in 3rd grade. i really didnt know what to do with what i was watching until i was in about 6th

but i do remember back in gradeschool when kids would study up on their female anatomy, so when they took those tests, they'd look like they're the vagina masters

That, I don't really approve.
1. porn isn't exactly sex-ed.
2. Geebus, I don't need to know about a lot of these when I was 8.

Your brother is a perv.

On topic. It is sort of sad that people make fun of the topic when they are in school. I found it ever more sad that adults, sometimes react the same way kids do when things come down to sex ed.

For example. One time I was watching TV with a few girl friends of mine. The show was about sex. Ya know, life network type things. So they were talking about health issues, solving problems between people. We are all adult females way past legal age of whatever, two of them got embarassed and keep saying that is so disgusting.

I slapped my forehead.

i dont know, its up in the air. its either one or the other for girls. some girls get very defensive about their porn, when i just so happen to turn it on, while other girls either enjoy watching it or they will laugh. like once me and an ex and one of her friends watched a show on hbo with a guy on it named "shotzee the clown," and he brought balloons to a girl's house with a dog mask on, and she kept doing this panting thing like a dog would do, and he took care of business. then he showed why he lives up to the name shotzee by being able to shoot a target 25 feet away, which i find pretty impressive. i know some girls that used to have something called "porn and pizza parties" when they were in highschool. i think its a little on the weird side, but i guess you could say they just embraced their sexuality

In my classroom at school, we had to do projects on human body systems. (we're in 7th grade, all right?) And one of the systems was...dun dun DUNNNN! the REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM! I swear, in the research, that group was giggling for weeks. My point is, we're young. We can't help laughing at things that are awkward, it loosens up the tension. I think I learn it better if I'm laughing. And if you don't laugh: I guess that means you're more mature, and able to handle awkward situations. Good for you!

about a week ago my class had to watch a tse (testes self exam) video. That made me cry.

It was basically 5 minutes of a 30 year old man fondling his balss.

I remember when i was in 8th grade, and we watched 'The Miracle of Life'. Not that it has to do with sex directly, but all I heard for a week was my friends saying how large the vagina was, and how gross it was. For one, a small area is cut on it to make it more open for the baby to come out, and Two, what does it matter?

I also dont understand why anyone would laugh if a teacher said penis, or vagina. My Bio teacher is seriously the coolest guy, and he talks about Anything and will be totally straight up and honest with us. Whenever he brings up the subject on sex or birth, no one laughs except for maybe a couple kids. Besides, when your hormones start raging and you start to get desperate, you'd give up laughing, and give a lot just to see a woman's vagina,DURING PREGNANCY! You can act serious for your pleasure, but not for your education?! Its time to be serious people.

When you have sex, or a baby, i hope you know what's going on, and by god, when you have "your time", and your significant other loves you, and trusts you with all of her/him, i hope, for YOUR SAKE!, that you dont laugh and wonder what's going on and what goes where.

Its like the saying, "Its okay to be a freshman, just don't act like one." We can relate by saying, "It's okay to be young, but god, act like an adult..."
