What version of Windows are you running?

If you are using Windows 2000/XP/ME, go to Start->Run. Type "cmd" and click OK. At the command prompt, type "ipconfig /all" and press Enter. All of your current network settings will be displayed, including your DNS information.

If you are running Windows 98/95, go to Start->Run. Type "winipcfg" and click OK. Select the appropriate network adapter and click "More Info". It will be listed under "Primary DNS".

If you can't find your DNS information using one of the above methods, then you have no idea what you are looking for.

If that is the case, take a screenshot of the output and post it here. We will tell you what your DNS is based on that picture.

Was anyone else in the lobby with you at the time? Are you using any cheating devices?

Try making a game in a lobby that doesn't have any people in it.

FSOD = Frozen Screen of Death.

There are cheat codes out there that allow people to freeze your game and do other nasty things.

I have used this post to find my DNS information also. The thing is I Cannot get online. I am using a BBA. Ive tried getting online with the 'Purchase your Hunter's Licence'. the outcome is "The requested URL cannot be found. All my information is correct, I manually put in my IP address, i have Windows 98SE and i used Tavia's sticky to make my Connection Shared. My BBA is connected directly to my Cable/Modem addapter. In my internet options, it says that the connection i use is America Online. What is the problem?

EDIT: I do not connect to my internet using America Online, I use Road Runner, but i pay to use AOL.

So you are using ICS on Windows 98 with Roadrunner?

If that is the case, make sure you are using a cross-over cable to go from your GC to your PC. It won't work if you use a regular networking cable.

Yes, that will work. However, that is a rather high price for a cross-over cable....

If it was me, I would probably put that amount towards buying a cheap, decent router. Afterall, a router will be far more reliable than ICS.
