View Full Version : Very Slow Site Loading Times

Noticed this yesterday, the site seems to be loading very, very slowly at the minute. It does take about a minute for any forums/topics to load, and this is on a Broadband connection.

Any ideas whats up?

Not a clue. Seems to come and go for me though... Slow, slow, slow, BOOM, loads 3 topics at once.

Hmm... It seems to stay the same for me.

It's not like we have a lot of users on though.

It's loading slooooow for me aswell on a broadband connection. Never used to do it.

Same for pretty much everyone, broadband or not.

Since I haven't heard any official word, we can only assume it's Gamespy/IGN servers. I can only say to grin and bear it. =

I was about this close -> . to giving up on stating how im having the same problems as everyone else and I hope it gets fixed in a timely fation.

Ah, and I had thought it was due to all of the incliment weather we had been having as atmospheric disturbances can affect wireless... Well, all I can say is that we might be picking up a few new visitors due to BB's increased popularity. Though.. I have to admit why just suddenly I don't know.

I say someone is up to cheap voodoo tricks because not a couple hours ago it was mindnumbingly slow... And yes it is fast again for me as well.

Funny thing is it was lightning fast on a text-only browser. Broken image or ads server?

Yep, back up to a nice speed. Was quite surprised this morning when I turned up in forum index just like that.
