Dragon Ball Advance Adventure

I wasn't a big fan of Dragon Ball / Dragon Ball Z games lately, but this one is just too good. I bought it today, and I must say I'm addicted. Combines the action of a capcom beat-em-up with some RPG elements, with a bit of platforming along the way.

I just don't get it why it was released here first, and Japan will only get it in November. Oh well.

Japan probably won't get it until later since its developed by Atari? Perhaps.

Its not a traditional side-scrolling beat em up?

Or do you start out as such and stop for "boss fights" in a Street Fighter type of deal?

There have been numerous GBA Dragon Ball games that I passed up, since they didn't look so hot. They also turned out to be more or less bad or just okay games.

Oh, don't forget Gunstar Super Heroes, which should be grand. Its scheduled to be released in the Fall. A lot of people are hoping that it will be amazing.

Yes. But there is also duel mode, which the game looks like a 2D Dragon Ball fighting game, like those from the SNES.

This is above average, in my opinion. Gameplay is addictive, voices are cool, music is so-so, and graphics are great for a GBA game.

I hope so, but I heard it wasn't being made by the same team that did the original. Nevertheless...
