Anyone else own these?

I've got Team of Colonel and I think it's a pretty good game. It's not like 4 with the tournaments, which I think is better.

The Liberation Battle's are pretty cool, and I love the music, haha.

How would you guys compare it to the other games? For some reason it reminds me a bit of Bn2... Hm, probably just with my team of navis...

I like it quite a bit out of the other... "newer" Battle Networks...

I still wish 4.5 came out here. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif

I'm waiting for Megaman Battle Network DS. I'm really hoping that perhaps they will have the whole online thing going and it will be an online game.

Uh.....yeah XD

Well, I have the roms for both. My brother plays Team of Protoman, and I play Team of Colonel.

I don't like how MMBN4 forces you to play through it so many times, but I only didn't buy it because my brother got it at a time where I couldn't so he'd be far ahead of me and I wouldn't have motivation to get that far... since I like MMBN so much for ity's battles. (I still play MMBN3 and do battles with that)

The Dark Chips system I think are way better, not to mention the Chaos Unison. And the Souls I think are better in this game (Especially Colonel, the Protoman souls are somewhat dorky, but that's personal taste. It's all about Shadowman and Toadman!)

The final boss in MMBN 5 was way more fun to fight then 4, and am I the only one reminded of the old school Megaman games with the music?

So far, MMBN5 is my favourite one. Then MMBN 2/3 (I'm not sure which one I like more, but 3 gets some marks down for havinhg 2 versions with hardly any differences). MMBN4 is second lowest, and number one was the lowest (I thought I'd hate that Megaman "Universe," because of Battle Network 1... which is to say, I don't really like any of the Megaman series other than MMBN and Zero, and Megaman 8/Rockman and Forte). Anyways, enough with my ramblings...!

I also don't include Network Transmission or Chip Challenge with this >_>;;; I didn't really like either (Especially Network Transmission, but some of the cutscenes were cool, especially Needleman/Bass)

I have Colonal mysefl as well ( although you already know that seffy http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif )

I really like this game better then 4 but I still find the chips sort of iffy when compaired to mmbn2

The liberation battles and the ability to play as other navis in them increase my liking of the game ALOT.

I also like the later areas of the game where you can switch what navis you play as in the regular net by pressing select http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

oh yeah http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif and I'm almost done 5 http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I doubt it will be... If you're talking about Twin Leaders. It's basically a combination of ToC and ToB... With some added bonuses.(I like the 3D Rockman http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif)

Maybe one day they'll make a Battle Network game where you can create your own navi.

Atleast it's looks... and the Navi Customizer would be greeat too. Haha... Maybe a choice between styles and souls?... Or both... Hmm...

So many things. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

You mean like Gold.EXE (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v370/PJ_SC/Sprites/GoldEXE2copy.gif)? http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Or the 2 different Neon.EXE souls for Megaman (1 (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v370/PJ_SC/Sprites/NeonEXEsoulcopy.gif), 2 (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v370/PJ_SC/Sprites/NeonEXEsoul2copy.gif))

Random note: I'm not looking for criticism... ahh, I used to do this so much, then I just kinda stopped. As you can see, I planned to do a full spritesheet for Gold.EXE D:

BettoMan.EXE... He was pretty cool and I had about 5 sprites of him xD...

I even designed a navi and sent it in for the contest for this game... Didn't make it though, twas a shame. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif

I have Team Protoman, and I must say, this is the best MMBN that's come out after MMBN2. Some of the quirks from BN3+ are still there (Get rid of that @#$%ing navi customizer or at least give me the Buster PowerUps outside of the customizer. And the standard/mega/giga chip class system can go, too.) Still, it has a good story, lets you play other navis for the first time ever in this series. Bosses are as hard as ever from BN3+, but at least they make their higher ranking chips a lot more feesable to earn now with this Liberation battle system, and not having to go find any V3 navi as a random encounter in an area to try to S Rank for their chips. In BN1, it was fustrating, but not that bad. BN2+, LocEnemy made life a bit easier, but not that much better, in BN3 and 4 they made enemy navis fairly hard, and even harder to S Rank. BN5 still keeps up with the difficulty, but you can get a navi chip for clearing most of the Liberation Missions in under a certian amount of phases. Not too hard if you know what to do.

yes it can be easier to get SP chips that way but I don't think you can get their DS chips that way

for those and some others SP and DS chips you have to find em on the net still

I actually enjoy the navi customizer. Makes me feel like I'm doing something with my navi to actually make it unique... You know, besides having a folder that's one of a kind. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

That's my thought on it. The Buster powerups seem to attempt at making it a fake RPG by assigning you a level by how many Buster Upgrades/HP Memory's you have.

The Navi Customizer limits you from making an, "Ultimate Megaman," but instead lets you make a customizable one (As the name implies, duh >_>). You could make a Megaman with all the Buster abilities level 5, make it old school Megaman.EXE. or you could give him more HP than standard. Or a shield. So on and so forth. You can't have everything, which is what makes it so great.

That's why I also like the Standard/Mega/Giga/Dark Chip system. It limits you from the best chips (Although Full Cust being a Mega Chip is my only problem, on MMBN2 it was my sert chip and now it hinders my max Mega chip usage)

Bah to those who make a unique stlye, I say. >.>;; I prefer working hours and hours on end for a folder that will own everything regardless. Not for a folder that's great in most places, and suck in others. I've spent well over 100+ hours (Dunno the acutal time, as the timer stops at 99:59) creating my Hub Style folder with 5 Forte v3s, a bunch of attack plus chips, with the BodyGuard PA, TimeBomb+, FullCusts, ect. It owns everything in like 5 seconds or less. It may make the game boring, but what else is there to do when you complete EVERYTHING in a game? And don't forget that I don't stick to one game as much as others do. But, I'm not the only one who plays this series of games, and I also don't play vs. mode with others, so I can understand why Capcom tries to balance it out with this system.

Anyhow, I finally beat Team Protoman. Good ending, I must say. (No spoilers to be given). I'm tempted to buy Team Colonel now, but since I heard about MMBN5 Twin Leaders/Double Team (Whichever is the offical US name) for the DS, I think I'll hold off untill it comes out here in the states in Setember (Or so has been announced for, anyhow).
