It's been awhile since I've posted here, but I recently caught the Pso Bug again. For those with little time, skip to bold...

I've got a Racast armed with a Frozen Shooter (took 9 Hildetorrs to finally drop) that I upgraded to a Snow Queen. I have another Photon Booster in my bank I'd like to use (I'm offline, but my friend gave me two).

Simply put, I don't wanter a Power Maser or Burning Visit and am interested in a Panzerfaust ---> Iron Faust. I need an Item to hunt and I have the section Id(s) for it....

I need some info on Panzerfaust attack ability and whether it can hit multiple enemies accurately. Similirly(sp) the same info on Iron Faust would be nice as well. I can hunt this offline all summer, but I want to know what I'm getting myself into

If you're unsure, try to avoid posting misleading info and such, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,

Hrith

Panzer Faust is like a powerful Inferno Bazooka, with shot radius (i.e. it will turn if there's a monster coming from the side, like Yasminkov 7000V if you're tried it).

Iron Faust works the same way, the differences are:
-it cannot combo
-it hits all monster in the blast radius (wich is rather large, but not as large as Nug or Gi Gue)
-it looks cooler http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Actually Kef, the Iron Faust's blast radius is about as large as, or should be about as large as, that of a NUG2000/Gi Gue, not smaller than. (In fact, I've done field tests with Canabin rings - there is not a lot in it at all...)

Loooking good so far... Kef knows his stuff...

Is it a viable weapon or more of a toy? I plan to grab a Yas 3000R to supplement my armory later, but I want a cool weapon to farting around with as well...

Like all the Bazooka weapons, it is more of a toy weapon. For online and offline play, a Needle/Shot will do a better job of dealing damage and keeping the enemies stunned.

Panzer Faust is a very average weapon, good in Forest or Cave.

Iron Faust can be a bit better if you are lucky to have one with hit.

Yeah, Kef knows just a little bit about PSO http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif.

On topic - Iron Faust can be good, but I've only seen it used very sparsely by my friend, and even then I don't think he was using it right (on single enemies, etc.)

It's worth getting though, in my opinion, and a big improvement over Panzer, which I have used before.

I've seen Kef post novels before, I was complementing him and his reply 2 minutes after I made the thread.

Anyways, I Intend to play Multi with my bro offline most of the time and power level forest and caves with him for experience (and on his ID's, items http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif...)

Should I make the decision based off which can do more overall damage or which is better in a pinch? (I'm thinking Panzer tops Iron is overall damage, but is 3 hit combo faster than 2 hits with Iron? soo many questions...)

let's take an example:

Panzer Faust hits one target 3 times, ATP is 443.

Iron Faust hits several targets one time, ATP is 575.

If you play Multi, where there are a lot of monsters, they usually come in groups of 3 to 7, so let's say 5 is the average.

443 x 3 < 575 x 5

The only problem with Iron Faust is the accuracy -- same as Panzer Faust, but since it cannot combo, you'd want to use a Hard attack, and starting with a hard attack = miss, most of the time.

Forest and Cave are ok, monsters have relatively low EVP there.

iron faust has special applications

-its real good on boss types (dragons and de rol) because unlike FO techs it DOES hit in all places and auto targets the dragon in air as well as hitting the "true" gol dragon (when theres 3)

-it hits lillys in both places too (base and flower)

but, to hold off swarming enemies, it isnt a good idea because it has the sloooow shot animation =/

Huh? FO techs like Rafoie hit multiple parts of De Rol at least.. =

I know you were giving him a complement, I was being sarcastic. Kef has more knowledge about this game than most who've ever played it.

For your question, I'd say go with whatever one is better in a pinch, but that's only is you plan on using it as a backup to your primary weapon. In the end it's whatever you truly want to do.

Iron Faust also has a Confusion special. Regardless of the specific special, it still works in Ult Forest/Cave. I use it with my RAcaseal on GC, she's under level 100. ;o

ya, good point, since only androids can use it, and androids supposedly have a booost to confusing specials.

You mistake radius and blast radius, I know I worded it badly http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif

Skorpius, help.

This may be a stupid question, but if enemies clump together can a Panzer hit them if they are within the Blast radius? If so, is it reliable (Hunter Meatshield always good for clumping ...)

The info so far in this thread has been excellent btw and I have run the Spaceship Alpha for about 30-40 Baranz today (nothing of course).

lol

Iron Faust has a better targeting radius, but the damage radius of Nug/Gi gue is larger.

I got my Panzerfaust this morning and it looks great. The Blast radius seems to be very small and can't hit more than one enemy and I have more testing to do still. Not bad for only 50 baranz, but no percents.

What about the iron faust? You think you're gonna get that? http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_cheepcheep.gif

The poster already indicated he/she has a Photon Booster to turn a Panzer Faust into an Iron Faust. Since he/she just found the Panzer Faust, what is the problem?

Oh yes JGaff, congratulations on your find.

I'm a he fyi, and thank you.

I need to do testing here and there still and don't want to throw away a good weapon just yet (like I did to my Frozen Shooter, but I'm ok with that...)

I notice that the explosion is not the DC/PC one, but more laid back ( http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif ), Is the Iron Faust's the same as DC/PC, or different? Also, Panzer can't waste multiple enemies with one shot?

Congrats on the Faust JGaff, just 50 Baranz's seems really good to me http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif.

Still interested in this...

Also, If I make an Iron Fuast and use the reset button to "undo" it, will anything bad happen?

Nope, nothing bad will happen. You'll just be back at your last save, when you still had the Panzer and Photon Booster.

Ehhh. I'm not really a fan of the PF/IF. I prefer Gi Gue, even though it can't come with hit percent. :/
