PSOBB: Shouren ;o [Archive]

I know Joren is unobtainable on US BB but is it on JP BB? Im pretty sure the answer to that is no but I just want to make sure. Since there are no enemies that drop it, where would it possibly come from? If it were a quest item would'nt that make it too common? I know that theres a 3rd Episode 4 boss called Shambertin that is featured in a quest. Maybe they can change its item drop to Joren? I dunno. Theories anyone? Im anxious about this particular item.

I'm not convinced we've seen all of Episode IV yet. After all, we didn't find out about the Control Towers in Episode II until a while after the game was released, and there's got to be more than three areas to it. There's also no Machine type enemies in Episode IV, which seems odd. My bet is if nothing drops it now, there could well be a new area ready and waiting where it can be dropped.

It's called 'Shouren', is not available yet in any version, and will probably be added to one of the holes in the existing dropcharts. Expect it to be as rare as Guren, or even slightly moreso.

Shouren eh? Thats a a cooler name than Joren. Which hole in the dropchart might you be reffering to? Im sure you don't have any solid info so just keep in mind this is all theoretical.

Could have sworn I changed that in the Database... The crosslinks on Guren and Jizai were both correct. Ahh well, fixed now.

It has 10 stars, so a drop worse than 1/21.3 would be ridiculous. But if I were to take a guess at where it would drop... See the gaps for Greenill/Yellowboze VH Dorphon Eclair, and how Greenill is not that good yet at the moment?

The annoying that about that is then I have the ID's for Sange, Yasha, Guren, Shouren...which twin sword to go for!

If they gave Greennill more exclusive drops it would be a better ID, look at what they're doing to purplenum >_< ST is screwing up balance even more =/

I say S&Y for bots, maybe Jizai for fleshies. Jizai's special had better be unreduced though.

I was gonna go with S&Y, just because I like the look of them, and I've always liked the katana-class/twin swords. Having a 'bit of both' just made S&Y seem really nice. Jizai does look incredibly good, judging by the stats, so I am tempted. Decisions, decisions...
