Ladies and Gents, Group Fic Season?

Ladies and Gentlemen of Fan Works, it is now the season of the Annual Summer Group Fic. The last GF that we had was some time ago now, and that died...a bit badly lets say. But im begining to think that we have all rested up and are ready to do this again.

A basic storyline has come to me to launch this fic and I can tell you that the proposed idea has:

*No Sandcastles
*No Drunken Parties
*No Deuce (well, in a way, I just think I over did that character, he is on semi retirement)

If Regular Group Ficcers and New Comers are up for this I will lay down and outline to the fic here, then we can get the ball rolling. As standared with these Summer group fics, im aiming for mild comedy instead of any serious melodrama, the idea is to have fun!

One last thing I better outline: Remember that Group Ficcing is not a race. You do not have to continously post. Ive got a feeling that many users of the past few fics have panicked that they need to post as much as possible, and have just typed (Dont worry, this is not chastising and I really cant remember anyone in particuler doing this). I myself am quite heavy into Coursework at the minute, and several side projects have suffered for this (DH: Legacy has stalled big time, something thats really bothered me), so I wont be racing away with this one. Im just aiming for fun in my spare time. I will try and guide this fic as much as possible though.

I really should have posted this before, I forgot the stickies went floaty. This is probably one of the best guide's to posting on a Group Fic, but dont worry too much. If you feel your not sure what to do in the group fic, someone will more then likly be around to help, just give them a holla.

Eep! Was really only throwing this out as something that is quick, easy and fun, and something that wont miss me to dramatically if I disapear for a few days because of coursework and other stuff. I'm in, I'll be using two characters though

Fog: Apathetic FOmar, uses a Battle Verge, wears that face hiding shawl, and doesn't open his mouth unless he really needs to, dresses in Black Costume #2 (yay for mysterious guys!)

Elric: Cocky Humar, wears his hair long, can be serious if he wants to be, panicky in life or death situations, Is (for some unknown reason) a perfect gentleman when it comes to women, has black hair and wears the Grey and yellow costume, secret costume #3 I think...

anyways, my pen is at your service, by the way, will there be any plot here? if so how serious? (Fog in a plotless story would be very comical no?)

There will be so much of a plot. I find the best way to get a Group Fic to work is to let the posters have so much of a free riegn, and just sort of 'Nudge' them in the right direction at times. The plot will be a light hearted one, this fic is for fun. There may be a semi serious undertone, but the Summer Group Fics have always been about the posters and their characters having fun. Also a nice way to get a characters little unknown quirks out into the open and I guess give other authors a greater appreciation of them.

Ok everyone, I'll try and get the background to this fic up on Friday. I'll just lay down the groundworks, explain the setting and then I'll give everyone a day or two to prepare. So hopefully we will go live on Monday with my first post (Unless there is big demand to start sooner). And why friday? Ive got a 9 hour cross country Bus Trip tomorrow, so Im not sure what state (mentally, I know where I off too:)) I will be in when I finally arrive.

Ok, 2 days late but it's arrived, the outline for this group fic!

"After the past 2 years of Fun and Games (and Booze and Sandcastles and mild nudity...) at Gal De Val Beach, the heads of Pioneer 2 have put a block on the Resort in an attempt to stop the craziness. This will not deter the Holiday Goers of Pioneer 2, oh no. They just have to find some place Cooler this year...several degrees cooler!

Yes, welcome to the Ragol North Pole Resort! Spend your Summer skiing the slopes, building snowmen and trying to avoid that Drated Dragon! Their are many other things to do around the resort, but you probably want to leave the Bikini behind"

Ah-ha! There you go, 2 years of Beach antics have made way for action in the snow. The pole areas of Ragol never got much coverage, so we have a lot of scope for new areas to bring up. There is a lot of free reign here, so lets see what we can come up with.

Can start this tomorrow if everyone wants to still or we can take into account my 2 day lateness, up to you guys and gals.
