In the next PSO, would you rather have them set it back to the MAX level being 100? I would, with it takeing a much more challange to reaching that level. And changing the game around so that HARD was reached at about level 10 and such and so that other modes were reached accordingly. What's your thought? I mean...i just think have level 200 be max is a little wierd, but also i think it's perfect because you'd get bored more easily with the game if it were a max of 100 just because. Having more numbers gives you better feeling kinda in a wierd way if you know what i mean which you prolly don't but =P.

I think level 200 is perfect, and I think the hard mode-lvl 20, v-hard-lvl 40, etc. is fine. BUT. After ultimate I think there should be a God mode(or something) for like lvl 140 or 150). Just my thoughts.

I completly agree. After you pass lv 130, its so hard to lv up. I guess you can power lv other chars,but, its still hard for that char to lv.

Level 300, I say, with a new mode, featuring entirely new monster bases (the monsters in Ult were the same monster, just looking different)!!! And maybe a little less experience needed to lev up once you reach a certian point (say, level 150).

What also made leveling tedious was you always fought the same monsters in the same boring areas. With PSO GC, I think Lv 200 will finally fit, because we'll areas, along with new monsters and bosses for about each area. And Sonic Team did say they were going to rebalance Ultimate Mode.

It's damn near impossible to level my RAmar (lvl 141)... There should definetly be a harder mode. Also how bout a different DF? -_-;

my goal is to reach 150 and thats it... anymore and my dc will die on me again http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif
i really do hope they re-balance ultimate mode, and considering there are more areas to go through on ult, it should be easier in theory... o_O
well...back to cmode...

I think they should add an "Impossible" level difficulty to the game, for people of really high levels (level requirement would be 160 if it followed the current level pattern).

Yea Yea!
And it really IS impossible, and you have to use awsome team work, and even if u have hacked weps and are lv 200, you STILL would find it imposable. ANNNNNNNDDDDDDD if you die you lose exp. ^ ^;;

Oh, and lots of secret places, that are added/removed weekly. *grin*

i think they changed the max level to make the game last longer

They definitely need to make some harder difficulty or rebalance it... oh well, at least Ultimate mode won't be as boring with the addition of new levels (I got bored easily with only the 4 areas.)

keep level 200, but either make it require less experience to reach, or make a harder mode, but give us higher stats. Quests more often would also spice things up, but make sure they are cool quests and they give a lot of experience.

200. With twice as many new areas as before, the experience system would need to be seriously nerfed so that you aren't 100 by the time you beat Ultimate Labs (most likely final area). Heck, with twice as many levels, I'd think it would be so much easier to reach level 200...

i find that the animal's of ultimate give us too less exp. I need to do a couple days to get a lvl up. Only off-line can i gain a lvl-up cuz in on-line i don't fight but chat more:twak:

Make levels infinite, that way we wouldn't feel the need to level up the whole time, but could just enjoy the game. I guess infinite may be impossible but make it something like 1000, at the current increase in stats per level. That would mean no one would ever reach it, at least legitimately.

I guess 200 may as well be infinite for the majority, but it still seems a little close.

Regarding difficulty settings, get rid of them, just make different difficulties different sections of the same area, and make areas huge (separate areas linked by warps).

I agree to having another mode to help get up to lvl 200, in this mode it should be easier to find rare itmes, then there is something to keep us all going

extra difficulty levels is also an easy way of increasing the games longevity. think about it... we would have been really dissapointed if v1 only had the normal difficulty level. thats the problem that we have with Ult mode now... many of us have simply overcome all of the enemies in the ruins and its not a challenge any more.

Well if the episode 2 areas are harder than episode 1 it will be good enough.
And the lab enemies should give 600 exp at least

What the hell is wrong with you? Just kidding. Any way, I think they should keep it at level 200.

Level 100 showed you liked the game. Level 101 and above until 200 showed how much time and effort you wasted on the game. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

To reach level 100 you need only 2,200,000exp which was not very hard to get if you put the time in.

I'm having my "never be able to reach 200" woes nowadays but notice that my exp is about double that of lv 100 at around 4million. That makes me feel like I'm level -200 in terms of v1's very hard limits. But a friend claims 10 million exp and level 130. Heh "lv-500" by the exp needed to reach 100. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Ultimate mode is just dragging on for me trying to get strong enough for Ruins but its taking it's toll on me mentally. "How many hours must I muster up to get some nice for-Ruins weapon and high enough ATP to finish Ultimate?"

The Ultimate mode exp is thin compared to the amount needed to reach that "lv200" and I hope the balance is much better since they are changing it for the better as we speak.

So I say keep the 200 but make it so that enemies give much more experience to warrant a level 200 in the first place.

Well I still think PSO is a fast lv up game compared to the other online rpgs

just keep the xp/lvl curve exactly how they are and kill the cap altogether...

let the people who want to exceed 200 be king of the geeks... or people with way too much time on their hands

There needs to be a level and stat cap, so that cheaters can't go too berserk =>_>=;;

Level 200, even with its high exp requirements, seems right to me. The casual player can reach the 80-120 range, but only hardcore players go to 150+. With material usage caps, people at higher levels will be acknoledged as elite and strong... until cheating comes by =-_-=.

I thinkl they should reduce the Exp requirement or make more modes like Expert and Extreme.

I say keep it at max Lv 100 coz it looks better! I'm still on my first char and hes Lv 94! (well i haven't got ver2 anyways)

Another +30 so levels sounds like it should make a difference but it doesn't. Past 151 another 49 levels would barely make a difference in performance when compared to gaining 49 levels if your level 100. So technically a 151 or a level 181 would get theres ass handed to them just as easily if there were more challenging modes(since stat wise they'd be the same, except for hp which would be about +200~350 or so more hp)

They'd really have to revamp the leveling system so theres actually some real merit to show for gaining levels beyond a certain point. New skills or stat caps as snappuru said.

There are going to be material caps that vary from class to class in GC PSO

So hopefully your stats won't be able to be completely maxed until you're 200, though I can see a class maxing out less important stats earlier (like FOnewearl maxing their atp at 150, but mst not until 200)

Aug 20, 2002, 11:26 PM
My HUnewearl is lvl 159 and fuck if it dosnt take a yera to lvl up. Well it took a yera when i still played(more like 2 days or 3 but w/e) Its so damm hard I stopped playing once i got my RAcast to vll 110

Aug 20, 2002, 11:58 PM
the level max should be 100 but spread it out so that lvl 100 would be the same as lvl 200

mmm lv 100 like lv 200 would be less fun. More lv up, more fun, hehe

You have to weigh in the pyschology of things as well. Some people like to have many level ups in a short time. It makes them feel like they are progressing more, or atleast they have something to show for the time spent leveling.

Example:
It takes 2 million exp to gain a level, which lets say clocks at about 20 hours of fighting. If one person gained 1.9 million and the other 0.1 million, while one may have waaaaay more exp there still on equal terms by the games standards. One may have spent a good 19 more hours then the other leveling up, but there both technically at the same level. So breaking down 2 million to .5 million exp per level would equate to 4 levels in the same time frame and an overall greater sense of consistant growth.

Of course the TOTAL stats gained in those 4 levels would still equal that of the 1 level which took 2 million exp to reach. But the players progress is shown more accurately.
