Ok so lately I've noticed that I no longer see the particular header I've chosen, just the Alternate text (http://www.nether-realm.com/psowheader.jpg) apparently. However every time I load a page/whatever it keeps trying to load the header only to show the text. As it turns out I prefer the text over the regular header image anyway. So how necessary is the actual image anyway? Would it be possible to just not have the image and just have the text without it trying to load an image? Like in the "Your Account > Select a Theme > Select a Header" drop down, just have a "None" option that would only show the "Welcome to PSO World" text. All I seem to get when I try to change it are broken image icons anyway... For me at least, something like this would reduce apparent load times while it tries to load something it can't for whatever reason...

And btw, what is this (http://www.nether-realm.com/img/radio.jpg) for? Is it just a leftover from way back when we could have our own avatars? (At least I think that was here...?)

We are still experiencing image loading issues due to a configuration problem with Gamespy's web server. We are hoping to have a permanent fix in place for this by the end of next month. Right now, we could fix it by manually changing every image link on the site, but can't really justify the work for something that is in the process of getting corrected at the source http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

There is currently no code in place for displaying NO header, but here's what you can try to get your images to load correctly: Use the http://pso-world.com/ link to access the site. This fixes many of the image loading issues, as they are normally caused by going through a planetdreamcast.com URL.

Also, in regards to the option box you circled in your screenshot... If you are using an avatar, it will show up there and automatically be selected when editing your account info (so that you don't have to re-select your avatar every time you change your info). Since you aren't using an avatar, it just shows up blank, but the option box is still there.

Just think it's important to mention this (don't know if this is happening for anyone else).

On using the new link, I can't post replies to topics. I get a Gamespy 'page does not exist' page. To reply, I have to use http://www.pso-world.com = Not sure why...

Actually as of this particular post I just noticed that the link provided on the PSOW Home Page is not the same as the one provided in Tomeeboy's reply above. The link on the front page is http://pso-world.com/ and the one provided above is http://dynamic5.gamespy.com/~psoworld/. It may or may not make a difference however, as I've not tried the other link.
