Brinstar used to have a list of these players. The list vanished when the site crashed in october of um... maybe 2003 now that I think about it. When the site was remade nobody cared enough to remake the list.

Just curious who is three level 200 chars were.

I got on to xbox a bit later than some, so didn't get to play with the first wave of players.

Fatal got me into the Jehova's Legacy Clan where I learned how to play online and got my Racast up quite a few levels. Things got put on hold for a bit as I learned c-mode with Pajamaz, Asia Skyly, Shigecki and Sanzo. I finally went back and finished him off at 200 and ended up with Continuum Legacy playing c-mode like crazy with Merovigian, Dallock, Shigecki, Haruan, Yummy and others.

So, I may have missed Faust - just curious.

I did forget to mention Dirty Dan who I help beat Falz for his 200th level.

Of course I did but they are by no means done. Actually when .Blue hit 200 we were talking about the first time we met you on PSOX (KrisTina and Fatal) Been on the last three or four months getting them to 200..seen you on once or twice. Once I fix my box I am gonna get 3 up to 200 before PSU comes out, and then a ladder down from there like Asia used to do.. or thats the goal anyhow. Man I really wish I could play with those EU fellows. I racked my brain and cannot remember FAUST either. I always wanted three @200. Fatal is pretty close to having dual 200's as well now actually.

lol isnt the only way to get corrupted to turn off the game as its saving. i did that once and not only did it wipe out my lvl 31 fonewearl which was awesome and my lvl 30 hucast which wasnt bad but it almost wiped out my main racast which was currently transfered on the memory card. i got it transfered back to its origninal memory card but all my items were gone including my like lvl 190 mag and my items and meseta in the bank was gone :c that sucked

On The xbox, all the people that were mentioned ive never even heard of. I've played X-box version for about 2 years now, and started legit about 1 year ago. I have plenty of high level characters and right now people that have hit 200 are DieByMyBlade, Goku, Bulldog, Choke a Goat. Now I play with Choke and everyone else, but Goat has 3 200's, Blade is about to get a second, and goku is about to get a second. KaiNova "TLD", Sky Dragon, and Akulemuri are all in the 190's and working hard on 200.

Now this is coming from somone who doesn't post alot because im always on PSO, and not talking on the site wasting my time. All of these are people i play with in Davburite 10. If they play anywheres else their probably not legit because that is the only home of legits in Xbox version, Everywheres else is only non-legits.

I know most of the true legit players on Xbox, and the only person I know with 3 level 200 characters is Lacan. His HUmar, KS; his FOmar, Lacan; and his RAcast, BROWREN. He has a few others over 150 too.

Liquid Bacon hit 196 today and 632 battle wins. I aquired my last S-rank last month so I have all the S-ranks in the game now, along with some duplicates. The levels should come faster now as there isn't really anyone left to battle. Nobody challenging, anyway.

Sanzo hit 200 with his HUmar.

The real story from Xbox, although Lacan had more level 200 characters, was Asia. He had all 12 characters and all 10 section IDs in his arsenal, including a level 200 FOmar and 3 other characters over 190. All of his characters were over 150. He was 100% truly legit (he had personally picked up every single item in his inventory) like all of the good players and when his Xbox finally died his list of items he had left to find was down to 6! Six!

Well, I just did, Eddy on version 1. I used a heavens Punisher for it. Dark Falz on ultimate. My GOD, HP owns on V1. I was doing at least 1000 to everything I saw. Meh, it was too easy, the guns back then pwnd everything. I was level 199 with 200000 exp left till 200, this kinda inspired me to spend a few hours on dreamcast!

Ok, I have been playing PSO on Xbox for about a year and a half now. I don't really meet up with anyone online except one friend who got me hooked on the game a while back. I have been reading the forums for a long time and this is my first post.

I have a question. What do you mean by "legit"? Is that not playing with a weapon made by someone else that wasn't picked up in the game?

Also, someone said something about Dav being the only place for legit players. When I do play online, it is in Beni-whatever. Does that mark me as non-legit even if I don't team up with anyone else??

Does this really matter to you? I didn't even level up to 200 on Dav. I was on Beni myself. With the XBox turning into a ghost town, I now look for games in Dav, but if I'm running solo games, I make my games on Beni.

Legit is kind of a stretched, personal definition for most people, since they all have different believes in what they feel is legit and not legit.

But basically, being legit is playing the game the way it was made. Not using some sort of glitches or cheats to change the gameplay for YOUR own good. Not duplicating, using a cheat device like AR(action replay) and things like that. Most of the PSO community frown upon things like this becuase in one way or another, it affects the way they play online and lowers the value of not only weapons and items rarity because said weapon is so commonly used now, but causes them to lose interest in the community AND the game. I could go on all day about this, but I'll keep it simple.

Right i have just signed up to mention all of the legit level 200's i knew on the xbox that Macius didnt mention

1) Carbunkle - Level 200 RAcaseal
2) Xafina - level 200 HUnewearl(did use hacked weapons though)
3) Tom(french tom) - Level 200 FOnewm

I needed to mention these guys because they deserved it. These guys got all the way without any help leveling up, although xafina did use hacks, he didnt reco box or cheat his level in any way, that i think qualifies as a slot on the list.

AR. By this route, you would have the number, but you wouldn't know anything about the game. Despite what the current playing generation wants to think about PSO, it is more than just a hack and slash thing. That's great you can pull off a combo, but do you really know how to use your character to the best of their ability? The number alone doesn't make the difference. I was still learning things about my RAcast regularly long after I hit 200. I learned how not only to protect myself, but also my friends while in game, and I learned how to be a support RAcast, even if it didn't show as much in my gaming (damn you Tycho, always being such a good force!)

Kef might just call me an experience hog though. Just take my word for it, the number means nothing if you don't know how to play your character, what their strengths and weaknesses are and how to utilize their abilities to their optimum level, what position they belong in while in combat, and also how to play different types of play in the game, Normal, Challenge, and Battle. Mastering the game means knowing where you shine in each type of play. I've been very good friends with players who were at a level considered to not even be halfway through the game, and they were more proficient at playing their characters than some of the level 200s have been. It all depends on how you handle yourself in all circumstances.

I don't want to overexplain and continue the off topicness of the reply to the off topic question.

Really, the fastest way to get to 200 is to play the game.

Not likely, she ditched PSO shortly after FFXI was released, and honestly, the GC servers have never been better. She was too elitist for her own good, particularly since she complained about other players acting that way.

All in all, I suppose she wasn't so bad, but she did have an ego problem. I only had one or two decent conversations with her, so I didn't get a very good impression of why others tollerated her.

Reliance, FOnewearl, got it over the summertime.

I think Hikari had two, one RAmarl and one GREX (I think he was unit 6, I never played with him much).

Crushinator's already been mentioned.

L'il Pinky's HUne eventually hit 200 if I recall correctly.

Delphine's HUne was also 200.

How about Wachuku the FOnewm? I didn't play with him much either, but he was pretty fun and hit it very early on.

Zero (HUcast) level 104, my brother that doesn't play as much as me has: Moooooooo (HUmar) level 108. The one main concept I don't undertand is that he has gotten much stronger than my HUcast at about 50. My FOmarl (Raven) is level 61 but my brother has a RAcast (Lonely) is 59 has somewhat the same ATA. Trying to get Zero to 200 is something I will accomplish in many years from now.

Yeah there's the HUcaseal S N K which I hit 200 with on the GC version along with Sengoku who I blasted my way thru to 200 also.

Other then that I hadn't done much on PSO since then if at all. I'm playing FFXI these days and am 22,000 exp from making it to my 4th level 75 job.

If I recall correctly; I was next in grinding the Legendary Saber on GC PSO, right after Silhouette. I was actually supposed to grind it twice, with my hucaseal Jenny and racaseal Arcee set to hit 200 in the same week. Then I lost Arcee to corruption, joining a game with SirLaguna and Silhouette. Sad. T-T

As for the saber.... Sharkyland grinded it then 09 later in the year then at the very last person to grind it was Aim. Aim has the legendary saber to this day.

My racaseal was actually at 198 when Denshiko D9A hit 200, if you remember her. I also quit GC pretty soon after, so I suppose it could have been much worse.

For the GC version my HUcaseal and RAmarl hit 200 without any cracked gear, levelling or powerlevelling. Did it strictly offline (Though I did take full advantage of inheritted MAGs from my FOnewm who raised MAGs I picked up in the mines on Ultimate. My FOmar is half there, too. 200 hours were put into powerlevelling him online, but now I'm sticking to using EXP drain items with him. When I got the Ancient Saber, I couldn't go through Forest on Ultimate without leveling at least once.

I was 4th person on the NA version of EPI and II to hit lv200. Before hacks and duping was made public. About 3-4 weeks of grinding with Rosario. No AR codes were out, none of the hacked Kings mechs to suck exp none of that was even introduced. Im still happy about my accomplishment. I was in my quest to get lvl 200 but... first when i got 81 lvl on my fist char my memory card dies and i lost my character, then I made a reincarnation of that character and when itgot 91 my pso game dies and now the only episode I can play is episode 3, I tried to buy the plus version but i haven't find it, if someone knows a store in Mexico, San Antonio or Laredo that sell it I will really appreciated. Or better than that an online store!

Wow, reading through this, it seems like corruption has claimed the fate of many characters. Have any of you tried out some GCN homebrew applications that let you backup your memory card files, so that if something were to be corrupted, you could reload your character and only have lost a few hours or dozens of hours, depending on how often you do it.

I have a level 126 FOnewearl that I'm sort of still trying to raise to 200 offline, although it's getting hard er and harder to play long enough to level, I can't even imagine what it'll be like 50 levels from now.

But yeah, if anyone wants like links and stuff to how-tos on backing up GCN Memory Card save files, I could definitely provide those for people who don't want to lose hundreds of hours due to random corrupts.

It is much easier to hit 200 online. You've got 4 people to move things along, and you've got high EXP quests like Towards the Future and Military Strikes Back.

Just as a sidenote, even though 100 may be the halfway point in levels, it's nowhere near the halfway point in experience.

In fact, at 100 exactly, you'll have just about 3-5% of the experience needed to get to 200. In fact, if I remember correctly, 186 holds the halfway point in experience.

And, to top it off, the total experience you'll need is 83227800.

To be honest, I find it unlikely that anyone would have the attention span to do that offline. If you're up to it, I say go for it, but it's going to be a long, long journey.

A cheat that makes the enemies give a LARGE amount of exp IIRC.

There's probably also just a cheat to insta warp you to 200. Of course, I am just basing this off of the fact that there's a quest on one server that, after disconnecting you, changes your character to level 200.

I wouldnt really recommend it though. The game's not any more exciting at 200 than it is at 150. In fact, I could even say it's less so, since you have not much to look forward to anymore.

Remember, the journey to 200 is the fun part, not the 200 itself.

Did you do that while playing splitscreen multiplayer? That would help you tear through levels and get XP faster. If not, and you did four characters completely solo offline then that is insane.

I've only played PSO on the Gamecube, I could never go online and I didn't use any cheats or hacks or what so ever, so I played completely legal and my highest character is a Humar of Level 158.

Ah I see some familiar names there among the list of 200ers. Tho the only ones I can say I've known are Ryna(Now anyways, only saw him a few times on PSO). Tigereye, better known as Rosara, partied with him all the time in DCv2 and GC saw him hit 200 on both versions. And lastly, Forever Zero, also both on DCv2 and GC.

I myself also hit 200 twice, once on DCv2 Just shortly before I quit, about 6 months before US servers were shutdown. And the other time on GC, got to 143 playing nothing but offline till I FINALLY got online, finished to 200 there.......Getting to 200 on DCv2 was definately the harder of the 2.

LOL Can't believe this place is still around. Drop some history. When ver 2 dropped in Japan back in summer of 2001 most of the core PSO-World members imported. Became kind of a race for those who wanted to reach 200. We were tracking it back then.


PSO Ver. 2

Started out with me and Bluestreak getting serious about going for it around August or September 2001. We had much support from these forums at the time. Others thought we were crazy because the amount of exp you needed to 200 and how much you gain a hour was small. Took quite a few months to do.



First ever lv 200 was Bluestreak, Humar.

2nd was Jonathan_F, Ramar if I remember correctly

3rd there was a Racast that did it, Can't remember name. I think the name was Little Cum Stain

4th was me, Scan_Kid, Fonewearl

5th was HC82, Fonewearl


But me and Bluestreak were the crazy ones doing solo Heat Sword runs all day. Fonewearl was exceptionally hard because spells did hardly any damage in Ver 2, so took me longer even though I started at the same time as Bluestreak. Hunters and Rangers add access challenge mode Spread Needle which made things easy for them. Things did not pick up with me until they released Plantain Fan quest reward. It was a Polearm weapon type that Fonewearl could equip.


Imported GC version when it released in Japan. Was set to be first US player to 200 but got screwed when they recalled the jp version. So I lost time sending my disk back to Japan to to get the fixed version. Then when I got it my character got corrupted when trying to transfer over. Was at level 188. . .

I started from scratch though, and got to 200 on GC. Only took a month. It was so eazy mode. Spells could kill things, less exp needed to level, and monsters gave more exp.

I'm 143 now, and that still stands. I don't play as often anymore and I'm not the fastest leveler, but it's still fun. I'll get there one day.

Yup I hit Lv.200 LONG ago (2006?) on the SEGA BB Server (US), one of my earliest and best accomplishments in an online game. Now im on a private server playing this again trying to get back to Lv. 200 (maybe multiple times :D ) In fact I still have the old picture of when I did turn 200.

To put it simply, it's where someone hacks to get to LV200 because they're too lazy to go out and work for it and would rather boast about how they "worked" so hard to get to LV200 when all's they really did was take a couple minutes to change some numbers.

Just once, I want a good, clean, fun game. No hackers, just all legits. Sadly though, that's just as likely to happen as it is that SoA brings back their servers for the PSO/PSU commute.

200 as of November 2009 on my Skyly Humar named Lars on PSOGC.

Started on Auguts 2006 so it took me 3 years and 4 months to do so. Could been much and much faster if i didn't waste so much time in East Tower hunting a SJS and didn't took a break for 1 year.

I did on xbox ep 1 and 2. Had a lvl 200 Hunewearl named Mad Dawg. None of that rico box crap either. I remember setting up a schedule for myself, 3 toward the futures and a full ep 1 play through a day. Before my hunewearl, I would have had a level 200 hucast, he was a 197 named Mad Dogg. Unless you play on BB, i heard a bug there makes you able to still gain EXP but your TNL remains 0 for ever. I saw screenshots of people with 100mil exp where you need 82mil for lv200.

That's too bad, if I was 200 I'd want to be able to see that just for statistical purposes. It would be cool actually to have all sorts of stats, like enemies killed and which kinds, times you completed a level, and maybe comparison charts between characters. I really like looking at that kind of stuff.

It depends on the version. For GC/XBox/BB, it usually takes several hundred hours. On Version 2, it takes a lot longer.
