I did 2 quick pictures today. Their sketchy but in a way i kind of like the whole sketchy look. The first pic is the cover of a comic called S.W(sojen warrior). I will be posting it around mid august.(I got summer reading to do right now http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif).

I've been doing the series since 7th grade and i finished it last year. Now that i'm a junior i'm going to restart the series.

I assure you, you will love or at least like the series. Over half of my school loves the series.(including some teachers and even our principle).

The next picture is a animate picture of me. I looked in the mirror and drew myself.

I hope yall like the 2 pictures!

You've got an interesting and cute style developing in your work, from what I can see here. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I think, however, that you need to work a bit on doing contour lines and cleaning up your linework (trust me - you do not know sketchy until you have seen my loose pencils >.<). Using different line weights will give your work a very nice three-dimensional quality. I've found that it's far, far easier to acheive this in pen than it is in pencil (I can't do it at all in pencil but it comes completely naturally with ink). To practice, either get a lightbox, or put your picture on a window (or other light source), and do your inking/contour lines on a separate sheet, so as to preserve the original in case you make a mistake.

I'd also practice doing hair, a bit, if I were you... Particularly longer hair, as you seem to be drawing it as one chunk instead of it actually being a group of chunks or strands... Don't necessarily mind me, here, I'm a real freak about hair. And folds in fabric. I'm the "fabric queen" or "fabric nazi" depending on who you ask at my school. >.< But let's not go there.

Thanks for the advise.

Yeah, hair has always been a problem for me. I'm not use to drawing close up pics but Every now and then I practice doing hair in detail and i can do a good job on it and show it in full detail but only when its a close up picture. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

But the more you practice the more you get better so only time will tell when i will be able to at leat partially master hair.

Thanks again for the advise, i'll try it out.
