I don't think people would be happy about theft of their belongings.

Presumably, the person that had their items stolen can contact a GM about the issue.

what will happen to my friend that stole his stuff

Several things could theoretically happen. He could be warned and forced to return the items. He could be suspended for a day. Things like that.

More or less likely, it'll just be a case of your word against theirs. The GMs will probablly just tell you to be more careful in the future.

I believe some of the GMs have access to the logs, so they would be able to see everything that happened.

Good luck finding a GM though.

Ryna, how does one become a GM? Or is it even possible?

The creators give out post as such. Its like being a mod, not likely to happen to you, nor I on PSOW, but Mix, Get and Ryna got a chance.

Several months ago, Sega had several GM positions open. You had to send in your resume and presumably you were hired after going through their resume review process. In addition to being a GM, job applicants were expected to do technical writing and handle certain forum responsibilities.

I was going to apply for that job, but I never got around to it.

Well too bad you didnt. I am sure at least some of the problems may have at least been addressed to.

Most of the people on this forum would have likely qualified. Indeed, I think a lot of people from PSOW did apply. I can't seem to find the original thread now, but I know there was a long discussion about it.

Anyways, I'm sure they'll hire again sometime in the future. Keep an eye on this page if you are interested:

I see Sega currently has several tax/accounting positions open.

Several? There was only one chosen, IIRC. Clumsy.

It would be best if you asked questions like this via PM.

I think Clumsy is the only GM we've ever seen. Still, I believe there are additional GMs for BB. If there was only one, what would be the point of the GM system?

So you think that eventually more GMs will appear and maybe they'll patrol the lobbies like Sonic Team said they would? Thats a comforting notion.

To clear up any questions anyone may have about GMs: have a look at this:

http://www.psobb.com/support/gm.php

So, it looks like I was wrong in my first post. The only thing the GM could do would be to warn the player that was causing problems. It seems the player would have to report the "trade-gone-bad" before action could be initiated.

Based on what I've seen, it seems like there are three GMs at the moment, though only one of them is visible at any given time.

I imagine you'll start to see more of them when some official events start happening.

I was just wondering the names so no one would ever trust them to do anything like transfering items.

I wouldn't count on GMs for much of anything, in the 10 or so months I played PSOBB on the JP version, the closest I ever came to seeing one was Broomop using the skin. XP
