Wow! I got a GBA Movie Player a few weeks ago and woah-this thing is awesome. I have no need of a PSP cause my GBA Movie Player has a Compact Flash card that can hold up to 512 MB. It can play MP3s, Movies, shows, and has a photo viewer. It is amazing and I wish they had it in America. I got mine online and I don't regret it.

Sometimes I wonder why we don't get all this stuff.

Like the TV adapter(or whatever they call it)... Where about did you purchase such an interesting item? http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_confused.gif

You know, besides online.

Oh ho... Hm, I think they also have things like GameCube Keyboards there too...

Useful site, thanks. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I looked at that site a while back concerning the RE4 CHAINSAW controllers(for PS2 even!).

I came upon that GBA movie player in the links section. I looked it over and it looked nice, but it didn't show enough about how to connect/use it. The pics also were a little blurry and looked doctored/fake to me for some reason.

Also I don't have any Compact Flash memory cards at the moment(no use for them), so purchasing some just for this would be a waste. I have SD memory cards, and my camera uses them. If they had one that had SD card functionality and was reasonably priced, I could probably pick one up.

Definitely better than expensive GBA video carts. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Imagine it on the Black/"Onyx" GBA, and who needs a PSP? http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Oh, would it work with a DS?
That is also a deal breaker.

I looked at the site yesterday, and liked the movie player, was very happy that it worked with the DS. Looks like I'd also have to purchase the flash cards along with it so it can um.. you know have something to play. The 1 gig flash card looks like it would hold just about anything I'd want to play on a DS, but it costs like $130.00 just for the flash card alone, and I don't see myself shelling that kind of money out for a memory card. Still, it looks cool.

To the person who started this thread, how does the video look when it's playing? Is it grainy at all? I'm not sure how great porn would look at 64 bits. Of course, I'd use it for other things mostly, but there is the chance that there may be some boobage appearing eventually.

an 1gig flashcard is more than "just a memcard for a console". get yourself an usb flashcard reader and use it as usbstick. go check the prices for mere 1gig usb sticks. you can also use it with the SD card-memcard adapter for cube, i guess.

I have a USB flashcard reader already. That's the only way I can think of at the moment that people would be able to get movies onto the flashcard for viewing on the DS or the GBA. I didn't know about the SD card memorycard adapter for the cube though, that could be very helpful. The USB memory card I bought for the cube never worked without corrupting the entire card.

Yeah "Compact Flash" is a different sized format/hardware than a tiny "SD (flash)card."

There are many sizes and universal media for saving pictures/programs/video/etc. to use in digital cameras/PDA's/Cell Phones/PSP/"mp3 players"/etc. so make sure you get a format that is used in more than one device to get your money's worth. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Common ones are the afore mentioned:
Compact Flash
SD
and others like:
xD
SD mini
xD mini
(Sony)Memory Stick
Memory Stick Pro(PSP size memory card)

It pays to check the box/device for what format is used before purchasing a device such as a digital camera/camcorder/digital audio player.

Third party brands are cheaper than first party stuff(especially Sony, charging up to twice as much for the same memory size), and look out for good deals on a week to week basis at places like CompUsa, BestBuy, Circuit City, Fry's, etc.

I see 1GB compact Flash around here in ads for less than $100 easily. Some with Mail in rebates, some with instant-at checkout-savings.

It is limited to the specs of the GBA.

240 somethin by 160 I think, at a max of 32,000 colors.
Using it on a DS wouldn't boost the max color output to that of the DS's 200k -/+ max colors.

It seems 'roms' are useable with it but only NES games (no snes/gba), has a variety of video formats playable and so on..

I'd think it'd only be really useful for mp3s. Unless you want to get eye strain.
