View Full Version : Argh! Blockbuster!

So, today, I decided to ask for something that our family doesn't do often: rent movies/games. Lo and behold, dad says "OK".

So, we head over to the Blockbuster nearest us, and I head straight to the GameCube section, looking for a copy of Killer7. They didn't have a copy. Damn!

So, dad agrees to take us to the larger Blockbuster that's a bit farther away. We go there, I head to the GameCube section...and they don't have a copy. Damn, again!

So, I ask the guy at the counter, "Do you have any copies of Killer7 for GameCube?"

"Nope, we don't carry it."

Fuck! >_<;

So, in the end, instead of getting Killer7, I got Constantine (which was pretty cool) and some psuedo-comedy vampire movie from the 60's.

Get Gamefly, much better. And screw BlockBuster, I quit them a while ago. Netflix is better as well.

http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif Sucks. Well, don't go blockbuster. We bought a Blue title (1 week rental) And watched it that night. We returned the next day to give it back and they charged us a late fee. >_<

My rant isn't really about how Blockbuster sucks, it's more about how they didn't have Killer7. >_<

Fixed it for you.

And a one week rental being returned early, getting a late fee? How terrible.

My local video store doesn't even carry Gamecube. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif
And they were trying to sell the $20 priced ESPN sports games for $50. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

But their employees know their movies. I only had one line to go on and they found out the movie within seconds.

"Do you have that movie about that guy who gets into a fenderbender, or a rear-ender crash on the freeway?" (boy that sounds stupid of me to actually say it to someone, looking back on it now)

*thinks*
"Changing Lanes?! Ben Affleck and Samuel L. Jackson?!"

The major chains are into that "guaranteed to have in stock" except they usually have the worst movies like Pacifier with Vin Diesel, and have to struggle to try to sell them used for $10 or less.

I found The Replacement Killers for $12 brand new at one though, which was cool since it was a fave movie of mine. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

ADVICE:
Call ahead, say you'll be there in a few minutes so they can hold a copy for you(if they have it in). Ask when the nearest return date is and they can check that for you too(if they don't have it in).

If they don't carry it, call somewhere else. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_yes.gif

He has a very good reason why he doesn't. Anyways, I buy games. Whether they're used or new. Of coarse, you're playing another twisted game when you buy them used. Because sometimes, you dont know what condition its in, but you still have to pay the handling charges.
