I have made some "single stat mags" and they are:
(12,188,0,0) power mag
(5,5,190,0) accuracy mag
(13,0,0,187) mind mag
I was wondering if there is any way I can get better stats on these mags. Thank you for your request.

P.S.: I play offline gamecube.

Haha, nice one. I had three mags on GC that were exactly like that. I had a Defense one too, actually. I don't quite remember what the max on that one was though... maybe 186? x_X

With Mag Cells, I believe 200/0/0/0 is possible.

It looks like you made better than the guides here listed.

hitoriga, are you sure of the stats on the POW mag, because I have yet to find a way to get POW any higher than 186. What character class did you start with and what type of diet did it have?

Also I did some experimenting with creating a MIND mag also and the highest MIND stat I can produce is 185. Are you absolutely positive those stats are correct?

BTW on both examples I'm not using a mag cell. With a System mag you can get 195 POW or 195 MIND easily.

well, it's been proven that 187 is the most mind a mag can have, witt the same technique of 185 but banking to loos the odd% or something like that!

I know Tycho had a 187 mind Angel Wings on GC.. Banking after every fluid fed I believe...

cool, thanx saiffy. I'm willing to bet that the same can be done for the POW mag also, so I probably stand corrected. If tychos method saves 2 points from being placed into def for the mind mag, it should do the same for the pow mag http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Put it into the bank after being fed. This causes the game to round the bar down to an even number if it had been odd before (so say an item gave 5, banking it would make it drop to 4).

I am fairly sure this is how it works.

oh, gah that mustve been annoying

Yeah, that's it. I read about the banking 'glitch' on Gamefaqs and tried it out to made some single stat mags, even before I got online on GC. So for the defense mag, I think you were supposed to not bank/quit/whatever at all (well... at least not much) while its Def bar was at an odd number. x_x

Yer supposed to bank it after each item fed to it, so each feed cycle only yields one item as opposed to three? O_o; Gah... At about 3.5 min per item x however many items... Good lord, mags done like that must take ages to fully raise... >__<

... Yes, that's why very few people have actually made them, even though some more people know how to do it. Most people are probably too lazy or want a Sato/whatever for a mind mag. XP
... Ah, by the way. From you post it looks like you'd have to bank it all the time, but that's not true. After L35 its feeding charts should allow it to not gain any Def at all, so from that point it would be useless to bank it. The hardest part is really getting those mags to level 35. X_X

If you were wondering, I did bank the mags to recieve those stats. Anyways, now I am certain that these mags have the best stats without using mag cells. Thanks for telling me that you can get better stats using mag cells.

It's possible, but I don't recommend it. Those system mags cannot have Photon Blasts, while in team play being able to make PB chains is way more useful than having 16 more Mind.

Uhh, I don't have much of any experiance raising mags but, would it be possible to give a mag items to get the level you're trying to get, then give it items to make the stats that you don't want (such as defense) to go back down?

Yes it can go down on the bar, but not down levels. Once a stat reachs say lv 20, there is no way to take it back to lv 15 for example.
