View Full Version : Is there FSOD on Xbox, as well?

Hello, all -

I'm happy to be posting in such a large community and forum. I've been playing PSO since DC, and had a lvl 137 ranger on GC until my 2-year-old threw my memory card in the garbage. Ugh.

Anyway, I recall being FSOD'd at will on GC (and in Ep 3), and I was wondering if this is still a problem on Xbox as well. I've worked hard for the paltry items I have, and I'd hate to lose them (I'd hate it enough that I wouldn't go online if there was a chance I could get FSOD'd by a jerk).

But I'd love to go online to trade/beg/borrow/steal for a spread needle (the only thing I really, really missed from my GC char).

Anyway, can anyone tell me?

Thanks, and it's good to be here!

- Nate

Yes there is FSOD on Xbox.

Two choices for the matter are:
A)If on Xbox stay out on Apatite, play in Davburite 10.
B)Get PSO blue burst (PC) instead.

Where do legit players play? Non-hackers, dupers, etc.? Can someone slap me a link or a ship/block name/#?

Thanks! And see you there!

It should be noted that although FSOD does exist on X-Box, it doesn't happen near as often as it does on PSO-GC.

I have like 450+ hours logged in PSO-X and my FSOD count is probably 5 or so.

Just want to point out several things:

1. If you get a FSOD before joining a team, you won't lose anything (except maybe for meseta if I'm correct). And if you have got a FSOD during in-game or returned in the lobby from a team, you'll lose your weapon equipped, and whatever items you were holding in your inventory. You'll also lose your stuff that are equipped only if you had dequip/equip anything. If you didn't and left your equipment as is, you won't lose it but your weapon.

2. If you get a FSOD while the game is saving, you've gotten corrupted. If you do and if the corruption screen shows up to tell you that, turn the game off. Insert a spare memory card in, and go to where the screen is asking Single Player/Multimode, when you're at that screen, take the memory card off and insert in the one that have your characters corrupted. Now select either Single Player or Multi-mode, choose your character then save. Now you've got yourself restored from corruption, unless if your character file disappeared from corruption then your screwed.

ONLY 5 times in 450 hours? Have you lost all your equipped items and stuff in your inventory each time? Because that count seems too high to me to risk my hard-worked-for items, especially my Red Sword. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

Actually, it is mostly just items (monomates and such) that I lost. Sure, it gets annoying having to buy tons of materials everytime you FSOD, but that is what large bank accounts are for and finding decent items to sell in Ultimate. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

No, it's not what they are for, FSOD was NEVER meant to be part of the game, and the fact that it is is just disgusting, I think what you meant to say is that those things are convenient for cutting your losses due to FSODing jerks

That is PSO-GC. I've never experienced all the stuff that people complain about on GC on the X-Box when it came to having to deal with blocks crashing and such.

Mostly, it was due to connection error and/or something haywire with my connection itself or with the server. But when it came to creeps crashing my game.... nada, zip, zilch. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
