Requesting Pictures for the Item Database

PSOW is seeking to expand its repository of pictures for the Episode 1, 2, & 4 database. These include tekker pictures, item descriptions, and pictures of the items in action. The site is mostly interested in Episode 4 pictures, but if you have some Episode 1 & 2 pictures, please feel free to submit them here (that includes BB, GC, and PSOX pictures).

Before anyone says, "Check the screenshot threads! There are a lot of pictures there!", we don't want to use anyone's picture without his/her permission.

I'll collect the images in a few days to start the uploading process.

EDIT: Be mindful of the pictures people post so we don't end up with too many repeats.

Also, these pictures will be uploaded in addition to the ones that people have made available in Arislan's Site Related topic (http://www.pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?topic=99682&forum=6&64).

Get Edit: If you need image hosting, you may use my server. As long as you use it for PSOW images only, you may use it. The tool is located here (http://www.getintothegame.net/upload). You may use it for Submissions to the DB, Fan Works, Character Threads and Signatures.

How do I make take a screenshot?
~ Pressing Prt Scr/Print Screen during gameplay should cause your game to pause for a moment, then you should hear a camera click. (If you don't hear the click, press it again or until you do)
Where do I find my screenshots?
~ You should find your screenshots in your SEGA folder. Usually, the path should be C: > Program Files > SEGA > PHANTASY STAR ONLINE Blue Burst > bmp.

Currently I'm working on a master mag gallery that I plan on eventually having every color of every mag currently available. I just started it not too long ago, so I only have a few mags so far, but I plan on filling in a lot of the gallery this weekend (borrowing a friend's Gamecube for the weekend, so I can take/upload pics faster http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif)

I have been taking tekker pictures of all of my new rare items since... mid 2003? This includes over onto Blue Burst. I would post them but that would be well over 200 pictures. I might be able to send them or something. I also have assorted pictures in game, including some of the visual errors such as texture swap errors.

I know this is a double-post, but I just wanted to let everyone know that 360 images from this topic have been added to the Item Database.

I would like to thank everyone for their donatations. Your contributions are helping to improve PSOW's item database.

If you have any additional images you would like to have added, please feel free to continue submitting them.

However, we probably won't be able to add them for a few days since the Item DB is going to go through some maintenance.

Finally, nevermind the fact that some of the GC images say "Blue Burst" under them. That is just a bug in the Item DB script.

I didn't get the chance at a private photoshooting, but with a bit of luck, it will be released again for Christmas.

These are the Sacred Duster. That's the Goran rare drop, the one that was only activated 3 weeks this year. It has the same speed boost as God Hand. Special is Freeze.
I couldn't get more infos on stats and such, but these are prolly out by now.

It's one of those 1 ATP and 1 ATA weapons.
Due to the ep4 japanese client going free, the already paying customers received 1 Present Ticket, 3 Photon Crystals, and the Pioneer mag cell.

This weapon and Akiko's Cleaver are available through the Present Ticket (within the special Present Quest)

I have a few questions about it.
1. Can you confirm the special?
2. What classes can use it?
3. Does it have variable atp? (take a few swings and see if it does widely variable damage
4. What are the conditions for obtaining both items?

About Shichishito:
It looks like the "hell" effect (purple smoke) but much smaller. That's why I assume it's Dim or some low version of this.
Synthesizer is received from Ultimate New Mop Up 3.
Shichishito is received from Ultimate New Mop Up 4.

I think every class can use these, or else the forces would be rewarded something else.

It took me 5 tries to clear Mop Up 3 and 5 to clear Mop Up 4, but number 4 is just plain crazy. I had to shell out all my money so that another Humar and I could use Vjaya, after using a 4 way PB before loading the quest.

Here are a couple of notes about the Love Heart armor:

The animation and defense boost only works when a male character is standing right beside you. Defense is boosted by +98 when a male character is standing beside you.

You have some nice pictures, but there are a couple of things you could do to improve them. First, make sure the weapon or special effect is clearly visible and is the focus of the image. It is hard to make out the weapons on your Black King Bar and Demolition Comet images. Also, it would be best if you left the snapshots in PNG format. When I convert them to JPEG, I use a high level quality setting. You can see JPEG artifacts on a few of your screenshots.

Vero's images have been added to the Item Database. I decided not to add the Plantain Huge Fan pictures since there were a couple of comments about reshooting them. Also, I added a Tanegashima tekker image I found on Yahoo! Japan's Auction section. Finally, Ketchup345 recently took VioletSkye's mag gallery threads and converted them into proper PSOW galleries. There is a Snapshot function that is available on your options. However, this requires another memory card other than the one you are using to play PSO itself.

That is a better picture of the weapon. However, there is still a lot of aliasing (AKA "jaggies") in the picture.

Are you using PSO Proxy to upload your snaps? I believe there is an anti-aliasing option in it.

If the weapon isn't displayed in full then that's not in the picture. I always make sure to post as much of the weapon as possible. I'll post full screenshots but it'll take me long.

Of all the hundreds of people that have submitted and are still submitting pictures for PSOW, not one has asked for personal credit.

I submitted over 50 pictures to Ryna.
I worked on over 100 pictures, cropping them, making them look better, just to save Ryna the trouble.

I gave PSOW all the info I have on this game.

I review guides before they are posted.

The mags colour is dependant on the baby mags colour(Or in this case, the costume colour of the dude who "found" the mag >_>)
