So I read that in this quest you can talk to Bernie of Pioneer 2, but I tried this quest on Normal and V.Hard, but he wasn't there. Is there something I needed to do first, or is it only in Ultimate?

So I couldn't find him because I didn't talk to him in Knowing One's Heart, etc.?

If you did not tell Sue your name the first time you completed Dr. Osto's Research, you will never see Bernie in The Retired Hunter in that difficulty setting.
