i am thinking of buying it and i have a few questions. first of all, is it ONLY multiplayer or is there single player as well. second, is it any good?

The game is a very solid hack N slack RPG. And a lot of fun too. Consider it PS2's verion of PSO. If you've played Balder's Gate: DA, you'll know what to expect. You play the same story, with a good or bad set of events, online or offline. Main difference is in how the characters are saved. You can take your offline character online, but this will mean EVERYONE in the room must use thier offline char. Same goes for the server side characters. You can't intermingle offline and online characters, and your online char is only online. Make sense? Hope it helps some. Also might help to play the first as it is a direct sequal to the first, but not nesecary
