Whatever happened to Phantasy Star Trilogy, the remake of the old PS games? Did it get canned?

I'm not normally a pessimist, but I can tell you this: As soon as the news came about (quite some time ago) that Sony wasn't going to allow the individual release of the games because they aren't high-end enough (this, from the company that allows no fewer than 4 basketball games to be released on their console annually), I came to the sneaking suspicion that we will never see them. The short of it is that the PlayStation 3 will be on the market before all three games can be brought to the US, localized and published. Add to that, Conspiracy Games' financial troubles, and you've got a recipe for Nothing.
