Gamespot seemed to upload some new movies and junk, but I don't remember seeing an announcement on the site. Just happened to look in the movies section and found new stuff. During the videos, everything seemed to be dying in a hit or two, and I swear I saw the text 'EXP +5' after one of the Episode II monsters died in the Coast stage. One thing nice is that the HUmar in the movie loaded in around 3 seconds, which is cool. Well, onto monster names that I saw:

Merillia (those flower things)
Ul Gibbon (those monkey-like things)
Sinow Berill
Gee (those hornets)
Gal Gryphon (boss)

The Ul Gibbon have the movement much like a Savage Wolf in that they attack when they see your back, however, they walk at a faster pace, and if you approach them, they'll usually leap away (!) to dodge melee attacks, and they spit foie at you if you're at a distance, sometimes spitting said foie at you right after that leap. Or at least that's what I garnered from that one video. These monsters seem cool enough. =P

Gee is nothing more than an organic Canadine. Merillia's are your classic advance-and-swing-mindlessly-monster, except modeled after a booma and not as aggressive as a shark or dimenian. Sinow Berills didn't seem to do anything aside from leap and swing like the Sinows before, except they have that distortion effect with their cloaking device. Boooooooring.

Eh, no biggie. Skinned monters or not, I'm as anxious as ever to get the game.

Thanks, Parn. Was the rest of the text (item names on the floor etc) in English as well? I guess that'd confirm there's an English language option in the final version.

I hate typos this much: <_______>

As much as I'd love to see it, Parn, it's for Gamespot Complete Subscribers only :/ The day I pay to download some game vid clips is the day I chuck goats at passer-bys on I-95 (which in case you had any doubt I WOULD NEVER DO). -_-;

This isn't IGN folks... you either pay to access Gamespot Complete features, or you get sent straight to the sign-up page. Posting a direct link won't work. Gamespot's smart enough to anticipate that kind of stuff. It's only $20 a year anyways... that's about the price of a magazine subscription, except you get a million times the content.

BTW Tony, I didn't see any items in the movies... heh. I didn't see any item boxes either... I'd assume Gamespot got ahold of a pre-release copy to just write up a bit on it. The guy was playing offline for certain.
