Something I realized (and maybe should've known anyway) after I received, and hooked up, the monitor (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/ProductDetail.aspx?TabPage=overview&sku=320-4221&category_id=4009&brandid=56&c=us&l=en&cs=19) I will be using for my forthcoming system. Except I'd never really given it much thought before, and this one had done (imo) a pretty good job for me. Although it might be akin to comparing apples to oranges in a sense. A mid-(maybe lower mid)range CRT to an upper (maybe top) range LCD. Another factor that may be affecting the CRT is the fact that I am running (for the time being) this system with dual monitors. Not to mention the CRT is (of course) using VGA and the LCD is using DVI. I'm guessing the LCD wouldn't look as nice as it does if it too were using VGA. Things just look so much better on the new monitor (sadly even the wallpaper sitting in the center), again likely due more the DVI vs VGA.

Now if only I could figure out how, or even if I can use different wallpapers on the two monitors. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif No real point to this, it's just I've never realized before the (apparent) crap, or at very least mediocre, equipment I seem to usually use. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif

ULTRAMON (http://www.realtimesoft.com/ultramon/) works great for managing 2 or more monitors. You can also use it to have different walllpapers and screensavers on each monitor. I've been using it for quite awhile and it's worked flawlessly.

Hmm, nice. For the time being though, I don't think I need to install something to handle that, since this is afterall just a temporary set up. I can live with the way it is since what I currently have doesn't do that. But believe me, I could easily get used to the multi-monitor thing. Especially if it were two nice monitors. Not to mention a slightly better video card to pair them up to, I think this is adding a good deal of stress to my current video card. (Well at least running the game at a higher resolution anyway http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif) I had to try it, can you blame me? http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif
