What is the count of people?

My friend who has Xbox live said when he tried to play PSO Ep. 1 & 2 Plus, he couldn't find anybody online. I'm considering buying the $8.99 service for PSOBB, but I don't want to go on if there isn't going to be anyone on. Anyone know how many people there are on an average day? Oh yeah, I've never went online with this ONLINE game, so how do the ship things work?

BB has many many members you'll be sure to find a load of players.

BB's actually not that packed. I was on a couple of days ago late night (afternoon for US), and 200 people were on. Total. this is US/EU BB, not JP.
