DC PSO servers, dead?

The servers have been down for 2 days now, whats up? I can dial in fine but it wont let me connect to the servers. Are they finally dead?

Hmm..is it jsut the US users who cant connect then? Or is Sega just being sloppy with the server maintenence?

It must be under maintenence, that happens sometimes when the Ship Select menu won't come on.

Well the EU servers are still here. Is hould know, I was Online last night...

I really do think that they should just let the DC and GC and X-Box be compatable. Purely for the fact that there is now a Gameshark for the GC so the cheaters are going to move to the GC now. As the only reason they cut the link in the first place was because of the cheating they may as well put it back (at least for Episode I anyway)

Xbox can only get online through M$ servers.
Only recently did they admit the distant possibility in the future to let a user leave the Live! servers to another firm's server.

GC PSO has underwent a major rehaul of all the in-game stats.
Hence it is no longer the same as DC's PSO, even for episode I.



Purely for the fact that there is now a Gameshark for the GC so the cheaters are going to move to the GC now.


Let's see if the shark really gets out. And if it really works as advertised on PSO too.

There won't be a shark disk for Xbox.
The only way to cheat is to modify your box with a modchip.
Reason is, every software that wants to run on Xbox must get an encrypted key from M$.

US servers haven't been taken down. I just got to be patient and I can find a good team.

I read somewhere (IGN, I think) that the DC version of PSO servers are to be shut down at the end of the year..?

Anyone heard anything along the same lines?

Or got anymore details...?
